    Happy New Year 🥂

Worked 31st and 1st so very quiet hogmanay here.  We stayed up to the bells and watched fireworks out of the window but straight to bed after.

Off now on my annual leave - don't have any plans apart from hanging out with OH and seeing a few friends.

We've got snow ❄️ with more forecast over the next 3-4 days.  I popped out for a walk earlier and to get some supplies (£15.08 spent).  Means we won't have to leave the house over the next few days if we don't want to.

Mortgage payment went out today including £12.99 overpayment so updated balance is £104, 679.19  calculated that the end date of the mortgage is now Dec 2044 rather than March 2045  looking forward to when I can start making proper overpayments and bring that forward.

Have added the £3660 roof savings to my signature to keep me motivated.  Redeemed a £1 @mazon voucher from a survey site today so £1 transferred to savings plus 56p from cashback.
    Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500  1.5.26 - £103,410.78 (4.7% paid)
Mortgage overpayments so far - £930.89
    Debt 16.11.25 - £5160  1.5.26 - £4560 (11.6% paid)
    Roof savings - £1484.33/£3660 (40.6% saved)

Happy New Year to you and your OH 🥂
Enjoy your leave, relaxing at home sounds good.
3 months less on the mortgage is really good considering the roof had to be addressed. May not seem like a lot atm, but its given you a head start :-)

    Thanks Boodedoo

Remembered about the £20.50 saving from switching broadband so have moved that over to the roof savings.

More snow today so have done very little apart from some cleaning and watching films.  Did venture out a walk but it was so cold and started snowing heavily after about 15 minutes so cut it short.  A NSD for me although popped into a shop to get something for OH.  He gave me the money for it and the 30p change has been added to the roof savings.

Round-up account reset today so £242.41 moved to savings (£100 roof and £242.41 car)

Will need to venture out at some point as we're running low on milk and not entirely convinced the milkman will make it tomorrow.

You must be a lot further north than we are as we've not seen any snow - yet!
Though just been watching a video from a friend near Aberdeen and it looks quite deep there and not showing any sign of letting up. Stay safe and warm.

Have you had any snow yet Boodedoo?

Continues to be plenty of snow here, glad I nipped out for milk yesterday as the milk delivery was cancelled as suspected.  Walked down to @sda today to get a few more supplies so £33.58 spent between that and the milk yesterday.

Said I would give OH a lift to the pharmacy tomorrow at some point to pick up a prescription (epilepsy meds so can't be left until later on in the week), really not looking forward to digging out the car.  Didn't see a single bus today when I was out so needs must.

£2.36 added to savings today from a survey cash out.

Had a short flurry which thankfully then disappeared, though I have no doubt there will be more to come.. We are about 20 miles north of Glasgow and if you could see your way to keeping the snow further north I'd be grateful  :#
Take care on the trip to get the meds.

Nothing much to report from today - managed to dig out the car and safely collect prescription.  It's been a NSD

A very quiet day here as I really haven't felt well today - feeling sick, no appetite, alternatively feeling hot and cold and feeling lethargic.  I did go out for a short walk up to icyland as we were running low on toilet roll and sugar, £7.50 spent.  Was hoping the fresh air would help but unfortunately not.  Not sure if it's something I've eaten or some sort of bug although OH is feeling fine and we've eaten the same things/not seen anyone else for days.  Ah well hopefully whatever it is will pass and I'll feel better tomorrow.

£5 @mazon voucher redeemed from a survey site so £5 added to the roof savings.
