URGENT HELP SON DISCIPLINARY MEETING
Comments
-
Where was he when he was supposedly driving aggressively?
If he is a valeter why was he out on the road with the vehicle?
How did the complainant know where he worked?
Usually when there is a meeting or disciplinary at work management or HR take notes which then the person accused has to read through and then sign. Did this not happen? Did your son not tell the manager that he had written something which was incorrect or are you referring to the information given to them by the complainant being lies. Its all a bit confusing.0 -

This is based on a customer calling his place of work and reporting him for fast and aggressive driving. Which he says he was not doing.
There is no actual evidence of this apart from the customers complaint.
He had a meeting with the manager about the alleged incident. The manager has now stated incorrect information in his report. Which my son says is a lie.
He could face summary dismissal for potentially bringing the Company name and trust into disrepute.
How can this be done when its based to two people's interpretation of an event. No speed limits were broken. It is all based on how someone else has judged his driving.MissScott1501 said:He is a car valetor in the motor trade and been there less than 1 year
A manager had a 1 on 1 meeting with him with no representative present to find facts but has wrote information incorrectly.
This is an official disciplinary meeting. Where he can take someone. He has anxiety and has panic attacks. He was very panicked and anxious at this first meeting.MissScott1501 said:There is no actual video footage. Just the member of the publics complaint against my son word.
What sort of incorrect information?
Who will be accompanying him to the disciplinary meeting?
At the meeting I think one of the first things to do is to correct the incorrect statements in the manager's report but without calling them lies, simply that he wants the report adjusted to reflect his understanding.
They have said he admitted doing 70 to.75. When he was in a flow.of traffic doing 60.
We are asking for reasonable adjustement due to disabilty and for my husband to attend the meeting.

As part of his role they take cars to the local garage for fuel.
They knew.due to the traffic plates I assume.
There was no statement signed and the meeting with the manager. He has.not been given a copy of any notes.

Unless the employer has been made formally aware of this and it has been accepted as a disability there is no right to "reasonable adjustments". Whilst the employer might allow a family member to be present, if they so choose, his legal right is limited to another employee or an accredited trades union rep.

I suspect your son may be giving you a very one sided view of things and has omitted salient facts to prepare you for losing his job.
he has no entitlement to be accompanied by his dad.2 -

He was on two round abouts and we are unsure which one they are talking about. It's not clear.0 -
If the employer wishes to dispense with your son's services, they can just do so as he has been employed less than 2 years. The only advantage to the employer in going through the process of the alleged aggressive driving is that they can claim gross misconduct on his part and dismiss instantly without noticeIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales2
