URGENT HELP SON DISCIPLINARY MEETING

Options
My 19 year old son has a disciplinary meeting on Tuesday.

This is based on a customer calling his place of work and reporting him for fast and aggressive driving.   Which he says he was not doing.

There is no actual evidence of this apart from the customers complaint.

He had a meeting with the manager about the alleged incident.   The manager has now stated incorrect information in his report.   Which my son says is a lie.

He could face summary dismissal for potentially bringing the Company name and trust into disrepute.

How can this be done when its based to two people's interpretation of an event. No speed limits were broken.  It is all based on how someone else has judged his driving.

The first meeting should be nothing more than a fact finding exercise.  A time where he can describe the situation from his point of view.  However, if he has been with the company for less than 2 years he has very little in the way of employment protection.

A bit context, what is his job?

How long has he worked there?

The vehicle could have a tracker on it.

Was it a company vehicle?  I suspect it must be if the complainant could know where he works.  In which case it's not just if he was doing something illegal but whether he was bringing the company into disrepute.  Some work vehicles have a notice on the back similar to "want to comment about my driving? ring 0123 4567 89"

He is a car valetor in the motor trade and been there less than 1 year

A manager had a 1 on 1 meeting with him with no representative present to find facts but has wrote information incorrectly.

This is an official disciplinary meeting.  Where he can take someone.    He has anxiety and has panic attacks.  He was very panicked and anxious at this first meeting.

The vehicle does not have a tracker or dashcam.  And he is not in a union

Begs the question why would a complete stranger take the time to contact his employer if he was driving normally?
This is just to level things up as you seem to think the word of the complainer holds no weight?

Unless this is a personal grievance against him, it is unlikely a member of the public would raise a complaint against someone for aggressive driving without good reason.
