House chain delay

To be fair, they didn't start booking anything until completion date was confirmed, but they turned up a day after we moved to get it all installed.
OP, I think the lesson is not to book anything that costs money until you are 100% confirmed. Removal firms tend to be the biggest cost that you may well lose entirely.0 -
Storage of a sofa for a couple of weeks could cost as little as £40, (2 weeks van sized storage, give notice the day you take it on, I've been looking at storage costs for my move), seems daft to throw a house away and all that you've already spent on the move, and the other two in the chain, over a couple of weeks.0

People buying this house require that date only. I’d have to self storage or hotels and could delay further.0 -
Have you spoken with your solicitor? Have you had any new information beyond what the broadband company told you?
Also, I wouldn’t be making any decisions based on what to do with the sofa. There are plenty of storage companies where you can store it for a short period. It’s certainly not worth losing the sale over.0 -

My solicitor has told her both me and the buyer here can only do that date. I did look at an air b and b but very expensive and also have to move lots of flat pack furniture twice0
