mmmmikey said:As a bit of an aside, I've had very similar issues switching from Octopus to EOn with the quote identifying me as a single rate user but being put on E7 when I switched. All being progressively sorted. Makes me wonder if there's some feature or issue surrounding single or multiple rate meters that all suppliers are susceptible to. Or maybe Octopus is the common link and they do something quirky with the meters?1

Mine starts (or started) S01, but this wasn't always the case. I'm expecting it to have reverted to S02 now that I am seeing my second register incrementing again after switching to Octopus. At the moment I am in a bit of a halfway house, with my meter applying usage to two index registers and my online tariff information showing two rates (Flexible showing as E-2R-VAR... in my agreements), but my tariff confirmation email and meter reading history showing only one.During my previous spell at Octopus it was changed from profile class 2 to 1 so I could join Tracker, then reverted to 2 late last year without my knowledge. I got it changed back to 1 because it was causing duplication in my Tracker bills. It remained 1 when I switched to Tomato. Upon switching back to Octopus it appears it is back at 2.I think given discussion here around the difficulty that usage on the second register can present when on profile class 1, I am inclined to leave it on 2.2

Interesting you was able to move to tracker so quickly after your move.I am seeing energy usage for yesterday, they either using data from the mini for historical consumption or they are now getting the data from the smart meter over the normal system.
I might try to initiate a switch to Agile as an existing customer move to see if its quicker.
Curious I have always seen E7 as quite poor compared to smart tariffs, @masonic do you mind sharing your E7 rates?0 -

Went it switched yesterday I changed tariff to fixed which was started today.
2 hours ago I got an email asking me to accept t a c for Tracker so went to dad's account and accepted and checked the account and the tariff has changed to tracker. April v1 tariff.
He has gas fixed with Octopus since January after leaving the last tracker.
I didn't think you could rejoin tracker for 9 month's?0 -
The issue is Octopus say you cant switch to a smart tariff quickly after joining them. So its interesting you was able to overcome that.I tried to switch to Agile just now and it said I dont have a smart meter. So their slow systems are needing time to update.0
