If you upgrade, do you still retain your interest free overdraft or do you need to reapply for that?

When I applied they gave me an option to apply for an increase to my OD limit, which was successful. The new OD limit kept my 0% promo rate from a recent CASS switch

Unsurprisingly, the intro call was a total waste of time.  Mentioned a few products, I explained why they wouldn't work for me, and then the call was done.  Hopefully the cashback will work efficiently, but I won't get my hopes up too much yet until I've got my head around how the MCCs work.

Has anyone been able to upgrade / transfer from Club Lloyds to the new Premier Account online? I don't get the premier account as one of the options to change to
You only get shown the accounts you’re eligible for…. So you would have consistently needed to have had at least 5k go in to your account for the last few months to be eligible I guess?!?
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂

I have a standard classic account and I don’t use it.  However the option is appearing to upgrade to the Premier account

Had a missed call this morning from Lloyds, they left a message saying they were just calling in regards to the Lloyds Premier account "nothing to worry about" and they'll try calling back later. I've only had the account for a week or so. Anyone else had lloyds attempt to contact them?

I've got Phone, Texts, Device messaging set to 'no' in app marketing choices. Will see if that saves me from Lloyds Premier follow-up sales pitches.

No, it didn't save me from getting a phone call this morning on 0800 number. Waste of time but only lasted 3 minutes.

I'm going to use this as my main account but can someone clarify the credit interest part:

Earn variable credit interest paid monthly on any money you have in your Lloyds Premier account between £1 and £5,000.

    • 1.50% AER (1.49% gross p.a.) variable credit interest on balances between £1 and £3,999.99
    • 3.00% AER (2.96% gross p.a.) variable credit interest on any part of the balance between £4,000 and £5,000
    • You won’t earn interest on any part of your balance over £5,000

If I have, say, £4500 balance, will I get 3% on the whole amount or just the £500 above the £3,999. It reads that if I have £5000 I will only get the 3% on £1000 of the balance.
You get 1.5% on the amount under £5K and 3% on the amount above £4K.
In the case of a steady £4.5K balance, that's effectively 1.67% pa.

Just an update on this. I'm supposed to have a few more weeks of 0% on my OD, but I was charged a fee for a few days before I noticed and brought my balance back to being positive. I've put in a complaint as they shouldn't have charged me, but just to make you aware that something could go wrong.
