Morning all,
Another one on a slow start here. Whilst having Dreadlock Holiday going round in my head, thank you Narc0 🤣.
Job for the day is to clean DD’s car which has been parked under a pigeon infested cherry tree whilst the builders have been here. Forecast is for rain by lunchtime, so I have mentally postponed that job until tomorrow afternoon. DH the apprentice is on woodwork prep duties today, so that the chief decorator (moi!) can step in and complete the job as soon as he is finished prepping. I’m not feeling the allotment love this morning, so might retire gracefully to the craft room with my sewing machine for a couple of hours.Have a good day all x7 -
Me again. Dailies are done, Poppet has had a walk. It started to rain so I've postponed outdoors stuff till tomorrow. I swept the downstairs floors then did some knitting. Think I'll start a new book this afternoon and Poppet will want another walk. Two lines on connections, strands with no hints.Spend less now, work less later.8

It is tipping down here, so Wren has had a quick trundle between showers and I'm sorting out bird food bags next to take on walk as I'm out of blackbird food.I picked some wild garlic while out and had some with some goat's cheese and crackers for lunch. I'm going to make some pesto with the rest.Wordle in 4, Strands with one hint and absolutely nothing on Connections.Belovéd and I have synchronized diaries for the week because they're both complicated and his mind will be on Other Things, but I think we have a working plan for the week which will involve some ducking and diving.Has anyone tried this service? I used to do most of my weekly shops at Mr M but it's not the same as it used to be since it was sold to the Americans. For one thing the staff that used to be cheerful seem utterly miserable now. Mr L is fairly local and I do use it but the longer I can stay out of supermarkets the less I spend so I thought it might be worth a try.I will carry on with the last of the dusting, which I've realised doesn't need to be done in one hit so I've been doing it in stages. Much better. Lodger will leave on Sunday and that room has to be turned around for Wednesday and then two rooms ready for Friday. Laundry will have to wait until the weather picks up but I need to be on the ball next week Flying-wise. I will be using the lists when things are that busy because it stops me procrastinating writing one for myself.Steve Ellis was 17 years old when he recorded Everlasting Love, and apparently did the whole thing in two takes with a 40 piece orchestra. Amazing. And I absolutely don't mind it as an earworm; I think it's brilliant.Better is good enough.7

Today I started with a lovely lake swim.
Did 3 flower arrangements for church.
Checked greenhouse.
Made some biscuits.
Paid cc bill and shuffled other money around.
Did a few miscellaneous bits of tidying.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8 -
Morning all. Wordle in five.
Sports season starts this afternoon and in my head I have a list of flying for this morning but first I'm doing some baking as family are visiting tomorrow.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Morning all xx
I'm a fan of Everlasting Love too. ❤
I've pushed myself well out of my comfort zone by offering to cook lunch tomorrow. Not a lot of sleep last night - and when I did sleep I dreamed of floods and getting lost. Par for the course when I step outside my bubble.
I'm up, made my bed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, dressed, supped a brew, eaten breakfast, completed Strands with SEVEN hints!, completed Wordle in SIX, then completed Connections with no lives lost in less than two minutes .... so I do have at least one brain cell still functioning. 🙃
I've made a shopping list. I'm going to visit Mr T early to (hopefully) avoid any ravenous hordes. My Saturday routine had gone out of the window. And breathe....
To Do
Put out the rubbish and recycling
Put new bin bags in bins
Feed the birds
Visit Mr T
Back soon.

Morning all,
Sorry, HB, I have never used that company, although I have looked at them previously but at that time they didn’t deliver in our area. Our veg is either grown or from the local market, although I do have to supplement from Mr M (or other sm, as I am a sm tart, no real loyalty!) sometimes, especially fruit. I keep out of the supermarkets through using home delivery - as it is a minimum 30 mile round trip to a supermarket, that makes sense for me.The vague plan today is to wash DD’s car, as rain is forecast all morning. Absolutely no sign of it yet, or the forecasted downpours from last night. She wants a parcel posted, which entails the above 30 mile round trip to drop off. I think I will give her car a trip out late afternoon and do that. These small errands have become a Big Deal for me, and I need to overcome my growing unease at being behind the wheel, especially living where we do. I like driving, it is the other drivers I dislike. Since when did stopping distances become a thing of the past? Sorry, not sure where that sudden rant came from!
Other jobs in the Vague List include making Italian Easter bread (had totally forgotten about this until yesterday), give my cucumber seeds a severe talking to (4 sowings of different packets, not one plant as yet), listen out for 2 parcels being delivered later, run the vacuum cleaner around the LR. DH still has some prepping to do in the utility room - he is dragging it out if you ask me - then I will be able to get on and paint the woodwork.
DH has gone to pick up his order from the butchers in the next village, I had better shift my back side. Have a good day all x6 -

As I passed I noticed that the pharmacy was open...so I looped round the roundabout, doubled back on myself and picked up my prescription. Job well done 👏
I'm rather discombobulated and taking 5 minutes to decompress. Then:
Saturdailies
Shower
Wash my hair
Moisturise legs and arms
Get dressed
Bring down laundry hamper
Sort washing into loads
Set first load swishing
WUDUPA
Put prescription away
Take chocs to Pops
There's 1, 000, 001 other things that could / should/ ought to be done but let's concentrate on the basics, shall we?
Brew 2 and toast first. I made myself eat breakfast before I went out, but I've treated myself to a jar of blackcurrant jam. So I do believe a second breakfast is required. 😉
