This wasn't an intended change and I'm investigating.
Could I check though - from a quick look at some boards, it looks like the boards are sorting by new for me by default, even though it says 'hot'.
What's everyone else's experience?
When you select 'New' it's actually showing you 'hot', which means it's taking posts from pages further down.Join the MSE Forum

On Competitions Time - "New" is showing by latest created and "Hot" is showing by latest post, and we also have the unique "Closing Date". These are all working as they should.
We also have the useless "Top" which I doubt anyone uses.
What is new and unusual is that the "Sort and Filter" line appears twice on the page as shown below. Both lines are fully functional. I can't remember which one was the "original".
ETA at 8:10pm.
The second of the two "Sort & Filter" lines has disappeared - leaving the one in the box showing.

The Sort dropdown has disappeared from the boards - and the thread order is not the preferred sorting (new) that I want as there are pockets of unread threads. Is there any update on this please?
