Going on prior advice above, i assume i just ignore these debt recovery letters until i receive a LBC? (Letter date was a week ago, alleged contravention around 5-6 weeks ago).

    Cheers!

Ha, DCBL again. Check out this thread of DCBL getting wrecked - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6377263/dcb-legal-record-of-private-parking-court-claim-discontinuations/p1

That letter you have just shown us is nothing more that a debt collector's letter.
The clue is '14 days' to pay.

No need to assume anything. The fourth post of the NEWBIES thread explains exactly how to deal with debt collector's letters, but to summarise that post - ignore them.

That letter is shown in the fourth post of the NEWBIES thread

The discontinuations thread is DCB Legal,  not DCBL , ignore the latter,  powerless debt collectors

Hi guys. I was told to return when a LBC issued (letter before claim, I believe?). This is a Letter OF claim (same thing?). Ignore or take action? Cheers.

Yes it is the same, as you'll have read in the second post of the NEWBIES thread all about this stage. Please don't copy & paste the recommended reply here. We don't need to check it.

And please don't show us DCB Legal's response in due course, either... just search the forum for words or the VAT acronym from it.

See you when the claim form arrives.

     :)

I received a reply from DCB Legal replying to my recommended reply. And i've searched the forum for VATSC06140 (i didn't really understand the latter forum posts tbh).

But i'm just a bit confused by the highlighted sentence: Do i reply to them again now? Or do i just wait for a claim form?

    Thanks.

See sbove. See thousands of other threads with that tediiys template reply by searching! What I meant was we never need to see that template reoly from DCB Legal si thankyou fir not posting the thing again!

Await the court claim now. Even though this is stressful: while your case is quiet, before the end of next week please please do the government's Public Consultation.

We need every poster to come back & complete this vital Consultation before the deadline.

    See this thread: -

We understand that you may need some pointers. It looks laborious, we get that. It doesn't matter; no knowledge is needed except re your own experiences so you can call out a scam industry and you'll protect millions of motorists and help change the law.

I've written some guidance on that thread. I have covered almost every question, providing ideas if you agree with our stance on things like DRFs, which we say must be banned.

Ordinary people like you are falling victim to this scam 15 million times per annum. Motorists need your voice added please.
