@Blackcats those are my favourite kind of OATs to get done, the oatiest of oats, the ones we're almost too embarrassed to mention. Well done!

I'm hoping future me will also be glad when I have lots of tomatoes @redofromstart, but I'm a bit worried they'll all die of shock at being in the greenhouse instead of the kitchen!

Bulbs in pots needs to be on the list for tomorrow... although I suspect I may need to take a break to get yet more compost.

That is a very worthy OAT @Blackcats 😊👏 These are the type that swirl around my ankles too. 😉

@greenbee, your greenhouse structures are sounding VERY technical! 😊

@rachmac3, loving the tortoise names and the fight for a poop until December! 😉😂❤️

Important OAT knocked over today: Gave the vet the transponder chip details for Chloe cat so if anything happens they have the details for her …

Today's OAT, chopping up all the wood for our stove we have from the 4 tall trees we took down years ago. This wood was stored in a few piles around the garden, this is now tidier and our store of wood ready for burning has greatly increased.

     - Unpack and put away the bags of previously frozen cloth (clothes moths) - still ongoing
     - Clear and tidy my craft room so it's useable - progress ongoing, OH will make a hanging rail for the long stuff once he's finished the kitchen shelves (which are proving to be ... challenging)
    - Sell the stuff I need to sell - will start at the weekend (hollow laughter)
    - Start planting seeds - testing viability atm, may just chuck and use the unopened packets I have - though I got a very happy squash plant out of it
     - Set up the planter for plants
     - Move the pot which is where the planter needs to be and then move the planter
    - Set up the herb garden (a small area of unclaimed lawn down the side of our house) - see #5
    - Sew the bags to keep silver stuff in (which has been promised since last November) - this is on the back-burner atm as I have a very fiddly 1930's style dress to finish for the 1st May Bank Holiday (hope it fits!) -update: it is a tad too large, annoying but not irretrievable
     - Pay the window cleaners. I've actually just emailed them to cancel as we've moved - only 6 months ago

I haven't fixed the hinges but I have cleared the weeds and painted it. I'll finish it one day in the week. That was one very overdue task!

I cleaned the bathroom before my shower this morning. I'm going to try to remember to do that every Monday.

It is lovely weather here. I just washed down the garden chair and table set and put the new solar light out there.

I also picked up some petals that had come across from the tree from next door. I wish I had been doing it daily instead of leaving it until there were loads of them there! I have to go back out as I only did about half of them.

New batteries arrived for the greenhouse irrigation pump. So batteries changed, pump primed with a syringe as it was clearly struggling, and set to do first run. Some drippers not dripping, so after work I need to go round and identify and clear them. I may also need a longer bit of hose into the water butt.

Given how hot it is in the greenhouse today (I'm so glad I finally installed the auto-openers on the louvre vents) even with all vents open and roof blinds down, I've dug out my old greenhouse shading. There's not enough to do all of the south side, but there is enough for the doors, and I will consider getting blinds for the front (which of course would mean the sun never shines again!).

The reason for getting all of this set up is so that I can go away occasionally and not feel that I have to ask whoever is feeding the cats to do a huge amount of watering.
