I'm lucky enough to have a battery that is on the Intelligent Octopus Flux compatibility list.

Moved off normal flux to IOF early April.

Probably would have been good to be on that since early March, but wasn't sure if my standing charge would be reduced mid contact.
PPI success. Banding success. Double Dip PCN cancelled! South facing solar (Midlands) and battery. Savings Session supporter (is it worth it now!?)

Which battery if you don't mind me asking? I'm trying find whether it's working properly with Solaredge, and not finding a lot of feedback.

    Givenegy.

Solaredge is quite new for octopus integration I think. Hopefully it'll improve over time.

So, outgoing Octopus at 15p is variable and this would require an import tariff fixed for 12 month at 22.64p (£50 exit fee) or variable at 27.24p with no exit fees. What to do...? If Octopus reduce their 15p export variable days after fixing (the lower rate) import, that's a massive pain, though both options are better than staying on Flux which at 10p during the day, which is untenable for me. Any other energy firms offering 15p export, or slightly less fixed? Sleep on it I think...

Isn't Octopus Outgoing fixed any more? Mine says fixed until June which will be its anniversary.

When you renew it'll become a variable tariff.

So, I've just received an email from Octopus stating that Flux rates are remaining unchanged, citing the cost of switching off windfarms (which we partially paid for through our energy bills) as justification, even though Cornwall indicated a fall in the energy cap from 1st July.

I was a tad annoyed with the Flux rate changes back in July and almost churned however, in hindsight and against my better judgement, I sat on the fence based on the Cornwall projection.

So, good riddance Flux and suggestions please for a fixed rate export of at least 15p. Thanks in advance.

Oh, does anyone know yet if Octopus's variable export rate is falling on Tuesday? I can't see anything but reductions over the coming quarters / years, which no longer supports the argument for installing a battery based mainly on export margins.

EON Next, Good Energy, EDF and BG all offer 15+p fixed export tariffs (or did last time I looked). You'll have to switch your supplier them, too.
