Thanks Laura, but that £0 is only for October and doesn't include the odd chocolate bar in the afternoons, maybe it should! I've only been bringing in bread or cheese sarnies to eat with cup-a-soups most days as I can't be bothered to make anything more substantial/interesting/tasty!

Bread with garlic & herb philadelphia on today to have with a tomato c-a-s, yum yum, I think not - might make some bacon pasta tonight for tomorrow!

    Hi All,

I had no work today but I did spend £2.60 in the bakers on sausage rolls and donuts for DS and I today... should I add it to my lunch log

Tomorrow I am taking in my left over dinner from tonight (fish pie) and sharing it with my friend. Going to stink out the work kitchen :rotfl:

Managed to go over lunch budget in 1 day. Spent £6.22. Rubbish. Now i can't spend anything at all, all week! I did buy things to have for lunches during the week so I should be ok. Better planning needed next week! :)

    Hi Laura,

Never mind about spending a bit over, at least you have enough to see you through the week ;)

I find it helps if I buy things when I do my weekly shop, extra pack of ham, cheese or whatever I fancy. That way it still gets counted as I do the grocery challenge and I tend to not buy more than I need.

    Keep at it :D

Hullo all…I haven’t been posting but I have been logging my lunches for the past few weeks. This month is going quite well – less than £20 so far and that’s including a lunch out with my colleagues. I have plenty of packet soups, 8 tins of tuna and a loaf and a half of bread so provided I bring in a cooked lunch 4-5 days this month, I ought to scrape in at under £30. Glad to see you all doing well.

  • Hello all, Never got around to making that pasta as was visiting a friend in hospital on Tues and out with OH last night, but had been good and made cheese sandwiches for Tues and Weds. Had with a cup-a-soup on Tuesday but bought 50p Cheese & Onion Squares yesterday for extra texture :) Couldn't drag myself out of bed this morning so today will be a spend day, but the first time this month I've spent on actual food and not just crisps so I'm not going to worry too much. Will update later when I know what I've had.

  • Well I spent £2.60 on a very horrible jacket potato with veg chilli and cheese, and also 75p on 2 Dairy Milks in Boots (Can't resist an offer!) - wish I'd brought my own in now :(
