Have spent £6.39 on things for lunches this week so I am already over my £5 budget, but hopefully this stuff will last me the rest of the week so I won't need to spend anything and some things should last into next week too (eg butter to keep in the fridge at work to have on toast!) Still a bit annoyed I went over £5. Will have to be extra good next week.0

Hi, all, only me
Am sitting here, patiently waiting to see the extremely sexy Donald Sutherland on Jonathan Ross and I thought I'd pop in with my lunch list.

Hey guys, I guess I am a lil late but anyhow would love to join this challenge. I sooo spend too much in canteen at work.
So my aim is to spend no money during Mon - Fri 9til5 on foodstuffs. I realise my lunches will have a cost but unsure how people work their costings out.
For me so long as I can bring from home then I budget well on household foods so it can only be good n cheap
For breakfast I always have at work so will swap to a porridge in microwaveKeep some in drawer so not to get tempted with canteen. Lunches I will keep a few soups in drawer
Will keep you all updated. Hope nobody minds me jumping in so lateTotal CC Debt £ 9896.94 (Starting 09.03.2008)March Goal £310.00March TD £517.13 :beer:0 -
Yoo hoo I'm still here
Just not been very good this week so was really pleased that everyone had kept away from this thread :rotfl:
In my defence  I didn't/don't have any money till Monday next week so haven't even been able to afford to buy lunch stuff to take to work, my ds has been ill off school all week so didn't need to make for him too and tbh if I don't have to get my backside in gear early in the morning to make for him, why should I make for me
'Luckily' for me I don't have to pay for my dinners at work on the day I have it so I owe for the whole of last week.....£10.67
So, I'm back and have just enough money for lunches for Monday and then I'm doing a big shop on Monday evening. My friend gave me back my Hellmans Mayonaise sandwich book that I'd forgotten I'd lent her and there's loads of great ideas in there, monday we're having grated cheese and grated carrot mixed up with a bit of mayo and put in some nice bread with seeds on. That's the plan anyways......
Good to be back on board :T
