Morning everyone and welcome to the new people :hello:
I'm definitley finding that making sure I've got plenty of food at home and doing a bit of planning is making me less likely to give in during the day. Still no spend this week!
Mon 25th - £0 (leftover turkey, mushroom & ricotta pasta, snacks of banana and crackers)
Tue 26th - £0 (leftover moussaka, bread, banana, crackers)
Wed 27th - £0 (leftover stir fry & noodles, banana, grapes.. I've eaten nearly a whole 500g box of grapes today, that may not be good for me!)
Thu 28th - £0 (homemade turkey & veg soup, oatcakes, banana, grapes)Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Didn't have time to make lunch Yesterday so I went into Boots just up from where I work and used some of my advantage points to pay for lunch, still have money in my purse.Claimed back almost £4000 so far from HSBC for mis-sold PPI
£2083.00 + £242.00 8% interest from FirstPlus and lower monthly premiums:D Studio Cards paid off my account and gave me £125.00 in gift vouchers. £500.00 Barclays.0 -
Was doing so well this week with bringing a sensible and varied selection of lunches to work, but am feeling pretty under the weather today, so have tried to cheer myself by buying lots of chocolate bars which have now become my lunch. Will need to do quite a few star jumps when I feel better to work that lot off!Overpay!0

Hullo.
Can I join in please? I've been spending £3.10 per day on lunch (I'm addicted to EAT soups!) and it's eating up (pun unintended!) all my disposable income.
I want to join a gym in March and the amount I spend on lunches is the same as a one-month membership. So I've found this challenge at a very opportune moment!
Since I haven't been counting since January, I'm just going to give a rough figure for my spending so far and hopefully get it down from next week.
January - £52.70
February - £49.60Mortgage (original/ current):193,000 (23/09/11)/ £102,500 (07/11/2019)

Goodness, it's getting quite sociable in here these days, welcome everyone.
Jo, were you following me today (...post I thought 'why not go buy that Irn Bru in bulk'!!! ....) because I went to Farmfoods and bought 24 cans for a FIVER!! Honest, a fiver! Now, do I count that fiver today or what? I suppose I should really.............. but it'll knock my daily average to pot.
Mark88man, I knew I recognised India Knight, I've seen her on those Grumpy Old Women shows but I didn't think it was her. I'll away and "goggle" the book/movement, etc. Thanks for your help, I appreciate it. Now you just have to come round and smack my head to keep me from the cuddle in a glassGrocery Challenge M: £450/£425.08 A: £400/£.May -£400/£361 June £380/£230 (pages 18 & 27 explain)0 -
Hey Fletch
I am afraid my head smacking days are over. Except my own of course (doh!).
I meant to say the India Knight diet has two stages - the first which you stay on until you within a stone of your weight (or for a couple of weeks if you haven't much to lose).
The second is a little more relaxed - bit more fruit - bit more alcohol - apparently Vodka with soda and lime is your top models choice of drink - almost no calories !! (That and a shedload of coke (not the diet type ;-) helps keep em thin )I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Yeah but it'll even out over time. Alternatively, why not divide the amount of cans by a fiver and add that total daily?DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -

I'll join in this too. I can be good, but too often I am not! Esp the days when i've had a bad night with the new baby boy in the house, the next day I am just hungry all day long, and there is just too much temptation!!

I doubt I'll be this good all weeks! It was just handy i got into a routine this week of making the next days lunch as soon as I got in/was making dinner!0 -
Hmm well I was thinking about maybe treating myself to something today, but back pain that's been niggling for the last few days has ended up with me seizing up over night, can't sit down properly, so having a day off... meaning a no spend week (though I think I'd rather have the spend than the pain )
Anyway...
