Did well all week, apart from today! Feeling under the weather, and didn't take lunch in! So, bought a cheeky chicken wrap and crisps - about £3 in total....not good. However, got cash book to keep records of all spending, and will start logging next week! I am going to calculate what it costs me to take in my own lunch every day, versus buying sandwiches, and see the savings each day - should be a good incentive! Also, as pay day is coming, will be good to monitor all spending, so that I don't go out and buy crazy things I don't need!! Am going for a No Spend week next week - fingers crossed!!:A FLY FIRST, KNIT LATER :A0

I reverted to type (it's not pretty)
I shall say this really fast.............. ready? Go............ today I went to the sandwich shop and I bought a baguette with bbq chicken and rocket, can diet coke, crisps, star bar, newspaper and a magazine sigh!! Total cost £4.20 Can't believe myself, am raging
So, am completely OFF the wagon this week. here's hoping I'll be all better next week
Monday - £1.64 - sandwiches, soup, egg mayo & bagel
Tuesday - £0 - tuna sandwich, crisps from home
Wednesday 65p - egg bagels (10p woopsie from freezer) and a Crunchie (65p)
Thursday - £0 - sandwiches with chicken, Lilt (that tasted like cold Lemsip yuck)
Friday £4.20 - I ate EVERYTHINGGrocery Challenge M: £450/£425.08 A: £400/£.May -£400/£361 June £380/£230 (pages 18 & 27 explain)0 -

Seriously though, a lunch buddy at work is a great idea to help you stay on the challenge. A girl has just started in my office this week and has come in armed with a packed lunch every day, so I think I might ask if she's up for it!
He was coming between me and a bacon sarnie. He knew what he was getting himself into... Think that's why he paid for it in the end. It was easier to do that than back down. He's not that virtuous, he 'made' me go to the pub at lunchtime and spend £1 on a diet coke!0 -
Feeling a bit worried about tomorrow, money is tight till I get to the cash point tomorrow and so I couldn't afford to get much 'exciting' stuff for tomorrows lunch
DS has his fav ham sandwiches but I don't know if I can stomach another sarnie....think I might have to make myself, I got mustards in the cupboard to make it a bit more exciting.
I think I need to go over to the Old Style Board to find some inspiration....DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
................... must try harder!!
Had a completely rubbish week last week and I spent way more than I should have. I even went so far as to completely revert to my old £4.20 days. Stupid of me.
Now I'm going to try and be super strict with myself this week. Thing is, I've had the odd wee hankering for a cigarette. Weird because I quit two and a half years (and ten and a half stone) ago. Maybe it's got something to do with deprivation, or maybe it's just my weak will, I don't know.
Anyway, am putting my foot down with a firm hand and I've given myself a stern talking-to. Back to basics from tomorrow.
Good luck allGrocery Challenge M: £450/£425.08 A: £400/£.May -£400/£361 June £380/£230 (pages 18 & 27 explain)0 -
Right, did a big shop yesterday and I'm going to try for a no spend on lunches week (in reality I'll probably give in to the odd packet of crisps, so gonna try not to go over £1). Also bought myself a blender and a flask so I can bring in homemade soup - I never want to see another cup-a-soup again :rotfl:
Have a good week everyone!
Mon 25th - £0 (leftover turkey, mushroom & ricotta pasta, snacks of banana and crackers)Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
I don't think I have a number still?0

I think you all probably know what I'm gonna say before I say it.....I failed miserably today. I was running so late that I didn't have time this morning, the school kitchen was serving up rubbish so I managed to spend a grand total of £5.76 in M&S :eek:DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0
