Im really bad and like to snack all day in my office!

I too like to snack :o. Try 10 cal soups from Morrisons (thanks to OP for reminding me about these!!), more like a savoury drink than soup but because they are savoury you don't crave sweet things. French Onion highly recommended!

Home on Tues so BOT (beans on toast!).

Mon, Weds & Fri in office hmmmmm , need to think on this, also out on Thurs so will need to take something . Have brown rice & couscous a plenty, plus cooked a chicken for today so lots of leftovers.

Speaking of my chicken ...... Usually buy free range in Sainsburys but bought from Morrisons. Thought Freedom Food meant something a bit better than they can move around an indoor shed . Won't be buying that again.

Also, week after next will need picnic for plane. Any ideas folks, especially as we're staying in a hotel the night before????

I haven't done hreat this week, spent 4.30 on sandwiches for me and OH on friday, and chips (1.50) and hot choc (1.45) on thursday. Was on a school trip (am a teacher not a pupil!) and was v cold though which is my defence!

    So total: 7.25 boo!

  • Hiya kids, Was absolutely manic at work on Friday so didn't have chance to update - I had the last of my cauldron of soup but I confess I DID buy those lovely veg crisps in Boots again (actually 59p! I think I said they were 51p before, oops- will update my sig!) So that's a total of £1.09 all week - not bad but must do better! Today I've brought in pasta with tuna, mushrooms, onions and sweetcorn, and will be doing salsa aerobics again in my lunch hour so no time to go into town spending money on sweets! Good luck for the week everyone! x

I'm still on the soup and it's working well for me. I think I've even lost weight without trying at all!

Mon - £3.25 (sandwich, crisps, fruit from local convenience store, only went in for petrol. (actual spend £19! )
Tues - £4.00 (sandwich, bag of baked crisps & grapes all from shop!)
Wed - £0.00 (chicken breast, uncle bens micro rice and a little bit of hoi sin sauce and a youghurt, all from storecupboard/fridge)
Thu - £0.00 (baked potato from home and a tin of tuna, youghurt, all from home)
Fri - £0.50 (home made soup from freezer, yoghurt from home, but bought a crusty roll from local shop.)

Total for week £7.75, sounds like a lot compared to some of you's but for me it's good from probably £20-25 on average before. But must try harder. I've been bringing in my own cans of juice, which i'm getting a six pack for £1.49 at the moment so saving by not buying loose from the shop too.

I need to find something to do for the half hour, maybe i'll bring my trainers and go for a bit of a walk at lunchtime, it's a long day here and i think part of the reason for going to shop was just to get outta here! Wish i had time for a class, but will settle for a walk instead, but not take purse!!

    this week
Mon 14th - Left over shepherds pie, and yoghurt from home. Brought some fruit and a packet of biscuits too to avoid spending on snacks.

Good luck for the week everyone!

Right - I am NOT going to buy ANYTHING at work this week - getting too close to payday (or too far from last payday I should say!). Have plenty in the house so there's no excuses! Bought some cup-a-soups at the weekend so have brought them in to keep in my drawer, along with some crackers/ ryvitas, and WILL be organised with bringing in leftovers etc everyday.

    Sooo...

Mon 14th Jan - £0 (soup, crackers, cold leftover lamb, salad)
Tue 15th Jan - £0.10 (damn crisps! lunch - baked potato, bolognese sauce)
Wed 16th Jan - £0.10 (crisps!!! lunch - soup, pitta bread, cheese, pickle)
Thu 17th Jan - £0.25 (guess what.... lunch - soup & pitta bread)
    Fri 18th Jan -

    Have a good week all :) x

  • Hi,
Is my first week on my new budget so definitely need to be in on this!! Will include breakfast too and that's a spending temptation for me when at work!

Had my budget obliterated on Saturday due to having to contribute to two unexpected cabs !!!

Have £8 in my purse for the week!!! ....

Monday: Bowl of porridge for breakfast (from box on my desk) Brought in curry and rice from last night for lunch (No spend here but off to Lidl at lunchtime to buy bread and fruit for the rest of the week)

Keep up the good work everybody !!
