    Weekly lunch spend.......

Monday, Tues & Friday zilch (lunch bought for me :j )

    Weds zilch - Cereal bars

Thurs zilch - took lunch to work.

Total spend was £1.09 - bought a tea at station on Friday as freezing & soaked - small price to pay for sitting in warmth for 20 mins. And I did buy cheapeast hot drink. And I had just saved £20 as had promised someone lunch weeks ago but we both were treated by someone else :D.

Aiming for zilch next week, but Thurs will be tricky as am away the night before

I've done ok - not perfect, but definitely better than usual.

I had one day of unnecessary spending at lunchtime but it was only £1 so not too bad - it was bread and butter pudding and custard, so I just could not resist!!

I have started dieting within the last couple of days too, so hopefully that will keep me out of the canteen, where puds rule!! If I take my salad /soup instead I have more chance of success in the lunch challenge as well as the diet one!

Has anybody used one of those Thermos Food Flasks, the short stubby ones that have a spoon attached for taking hot food to work? I have seen them in Sainsburys and my DS wants one for school but I'm wondering a) if they actually keep the food warm, b) what to put in it and c) if he'll make a complete mess (he's 5!).

I can then give him left overs which is a bit more exciting than a sarnie.
