March Budget £155.
DH spent £2.90 on milk.
We shopped at Aldi this evening for milk x3, cream, yoghurt 1litre, frozen sweetcorn, cooked beetroot, butternut squash, mushrooms, 2x oranges (on offer,) easy peelers, mini bananas, pears, cherries (on offer,) fruit and nut mix, cream crackers, ground coffee (on offer,) a tin of sardines, and a bunch of daffs.
I found the daffs later, in the fridge.
I had a nsd yesterday and a friend bought me tea n cakes for our meet up so that was nice. Today big Spring Clean day (yug) but means no shop time, so nsd. I have Pizza and salad for lunch form community food batch and I've made a mac n cheese to take into work tonight.

First spend of the month and I wasn't involved. I'd tasked DH & DS with making lunch and just let them get on with it. They went to M&S and spent £8 on meaty and veggie sausages (without checking whether we already had any sausages in the freezer of course). They did use veg we already had to go with it thankfully. I shouldn't need owt else for a good few days as we've plenty of fresh stuff in the fridge and plenty of non-fresh stuff in the cupboards.

Spent £4.75 at the C00p on 2 milks and a box of ice creams. Kids wanted one in the park but I wasn't paying £3.50 for one, so bought a box of 4 for £2.85 but had £1 off my shop.Grocery Challenge 2024

@Nelliegrace - my mother used to put the bulbs she bought in the refrigerator. Turns out here in Southern California we don't get enough frost for them to grow otherwise. Sometimes the entire vegetable bin just had flower bulbs in it. Just had to make sure it was labeled so no one tried to eat them.8

A £3.38 spend to declare in Sainsbury's.
A discounted load of bread, a tin of basic spaghetti in tomato sauce, a can of alcohol free beer on offer plus a bottle of alcohol free pear cider, also on offer.
I've had a massive sort out and clear out of the food cupboards of stuff I've hoarded, but not likely to use.
Especially where I'm taking a break from slimming world.
I know it's a waste of money what I've done, and I'm looking at having to rebuy certain things as I start to cook from scratch again eventually.
Hopefully I will learn and buy stuff I actually use.
Especially if I need to stock up again.Decluttering campaign 2023

Odd things end up in the fridge here too @sams247. DH said he thought they were spring onions. @weenancyinAmerica. We get plenty of frost in Staffordshire.6
