Morning all, a lot of spending here. Went to close to heron and farmfoods and couldn’t resist going in
£123.33 spent

I spent around £7 yesterday in Tesco.
Bits and bobs again including some slightly reduced fishcakes.
I'm tempted by the Lidl offer in the app for a slight discount on a carton of semi skimmed milk and the deluxe butter.Decluttering campaign 2023

Small spend today at Lidl 30.83. Once home I compared prices online with one of the big supermarkets where I often shop. Interestingly I had made saving of £9.68. However my best bargain of the day was at the petrol station on the way home. Potatoes with todays date 2kg reduced from 1.65 to just 20p - I bought 2 packs
Total spend so far this month £68.82/£2009 -
I might have overspent a bit at the market this morning - between that, the butchers & the supermarket yesterday I've spent £103.41. But shouldn't have a lot more to buy until next weekend - maybe some sliced bread for OH, and some more yogurt as they only had the 500g pots & there are 3 adults eating it! A kilo is about right for a week.Angie - GC Jul 25: £225.85/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)6

thats now food in for the next week or so and two ‘weekly’ shops left to do after that. I have not nipped to the shop at all this week for any extras. It’s a bolognaise theme this week! Spag and lasagna and bol on a jacket pot 👌🏼 then repeat?! 😂 lots for freezer too. All packed lunches and kids snacks, washing stuff, dog food and freezer and cupboards full. I really should be able to do this 🧐🤞🏼

Evening all,
A rather large spend of £103.63 to declare. However, out of that amount £15.54 was spent on ingredients to cook dinner for a bereaved friend. Plud some condolences cards, so I'm going to cover the cost out of my money.
So adding £88.09 to the previous amount gives new totals £224.64 / £500. Pretty high for this point in the month, I'm going to have to rein it in a bit.
The shopping consisted of alot of meat, fresh fruit, veg, and salad. I did buy a few treats too, to take with us on a day trip tomorrow.

Up to £177.12/£500 but have a lot of meat in the fridge/freezer, plenty of snacks and store cupboard is well stocked.
Will need to get some more fruit and refill the veg in the fridge. I've got £5 off a £5 shop at L's so I'll pop by later today and get a few bits. I've got a voucher for £1 off a shop and 50p off milk at the C00p so I'll get my weekly milk from there.Grocery Challenge 2024

Morning all
Holiday reporting to declare:-
I knew this was going to be expensive.
Decided that housekeeping would contribute £15 per person per meal out, D.H has expensive tastes and to be fair this is only 3 times for this year. Any extras we pay out of our own pockets
So holiday food came to £163.29
When we arrived home we also had a twice a year take away, Chinese this time which will also do lunch today £32.20 including delivery charge
We collected the cat en-route yesterday so decided I wouldn’t have to go out shopping today (saving fuel) so decided I would have an Ocado delivery late last evening £43.04 including delivery charge.
Bought the usual staples of milk, marg, fruit and veg, a white wine I wanted to try for next month but will include in this month’s spend.
Frozen fruit, fresh fruit and vegetables and salad items.
Before we went away I made a batch of Twink’s biscuits. Didn’t have enough white sugar so used brown. They are very tasty.
Froze some egg whites a few weeks ago, will see if they make meringues later. Haven’t done this before so we shall see.
Anyway have a good weekend everyone
Total spend £317.78/£400

Good morning All
I have a small shop to declare from yesterday: £26.61 spent in L!dl. I went a bit mad and bought 5 tubes of 1000mg vitamin C at 99p each, since they often don’t have them. I also purchased multiple silicon muffin cases, which they had at 2 packets for £3. (I say “multiple”, because each pack was meant to be 8 cases, but there was only one pack still with it’s wrapper - and it had 7 cases (I counted) - so I took a handful of loose ones to make up the numbers.)The above brings our total spend to £59.83/£165, leaving £105.17 for the rest of the month.
