Incidentally, does them sending a £20 "kind offer" effectively say that they rate their "loss" at £20 and thereby have an implication for what they might be able to claim in a subsequent court case?1

Very good point- I will raise that if I get taken to court.prowla said:Incidentally, does them sending a £20 "kind offer" effectively say that they rate their "loss" at £20 and thereby have an implication for what they might be able to claim in a subsequent court case?
I’ll also be asking “as the owner of said space- does a % of the fine come to me?” 😂1 -
Whilst you have added an emoji, if the process is generating income for the development it should credited to your property service charge account to offest other costs.breakerjacuzzi said:

My mum is having a meltdown saying she wishes I’d paid the offer of £20 but I’ve told her I’m quite looking forward to a day out in court in my wheelchair 🥲

Aah you won't even get your day in court unless you have grounds to counterclaim and thus force it to a hearing. Not for the fainthearted. Most people just go for the discontinuance.breakerjacuzzi said:My mum is having a meltdown saying she wishes I’d paid the offer of £20 but I’ve told her I’m quite looking forward to a day out in court in my wheelchair 🥲

When your Notice of Discontinuance (NoD) arrives no doubt you will show your mum your case has been added to the other winners on the "Disco" thread of shame.3 -
