he N180 form is also known as the Directions Questionnaire. It is a few simple questions to confirm your contact details, to check you want the case to go to the Small Claims Track (always yes), how to contact you for mediation (now mandatory) and which court you would prefer any hearing to be held at. As the Defendant you get the choice of location, somewhere near you.You can find a blank form here:You can fill the form in on the website then download the completed version as a PDF to email to the court dq.cnbc@justice.gov.uk
You can download an example from Tiny URL dot com /N180-example or click through to the Court Claims page on the site linked in my signature.Always remember to abide by Space Corps Directive 39436175880932/B:
'All nations attending the conference are only allocated one parking space.'

How can we stop all these people from thinking they can scan or take photos of a DQ? Literally everyone who does, gets a CCJ.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Agreed, it is in the sticky advice and a lot of us regulars point it out to posters when we see they might be about to err.ChirpyChicken said:

Would help if it said that in NEWBIES/8 Steps and if the advise was changed to tell people not to use the DQ form sent by CNBC but to download the N180 DQ pdf document from the government website, fill it in and email.Coupon-mad said:How can we stop all these people from thinking they can scan or take photos of a DQ? Presently the NEWBIES post 2 says:The CNBC will send you a DQ N180 form, that must be completed & returned to the CNBC.The 8 steps says:3. Wait for your own Directions Questionnaire from the CNBC and then complete & email it to the CNBC (see box below for the DQ email) and cc in the info@ address for the legals acting for the Claimant. It's a simple form but all the DQ answers are here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/81302208/#Comment_813022081 -
It definitely needs editing in both places such that the recommendation is not to post it, not to fill it in and scan it or take pictures , because the CNBC do not accept scans or pictures
BUT
To follow our advice and the paperwork advice to either use the provided QR code to obtain a digital dowloaded copy, or to download it from the government website and fill it in instead
Then to email the completed N180 pdf attachment to the DQ email address, which is on the paperwork and in post 1 in the defence template thread , and to file the paperwork in a drawer or folder
The advice in the newbies sticky thread needs to add a warning to check step xx in the defence template thread and add a link to it too
IMHO of course
Hope that helps1 -
Ok, so I have completed, saved and emailed the N180 to the DQ.CNBC email address (is there a reason the full email address can't just be detailed rather than find on a separate thread?), along with the info@ addresses for both IPark... and DCB.... Will that suffice? Should I expect email confirmation they have all received it? I assume I now await a call from mediation? Thanks again all.0

Further to the above, I have had a response from IPark.... asking for the PCN, Vehicle Reg No. and Keepers name and address, so they can assist me further. Surely we are beyond this point now?0

No need to contact I Park, ignore them
Only the CNBC and DCB LEGAL and yu are currently involved
The N180 letter pack tells you the current N180 DQ email address on one of the forms they included1 -
You weren't meant to send a copy of anything to I-Park. They are using a solicitor for a reason.Shivaldo said:Ok, so I have completed, saved and emailed the N180 to the DQ.CNBC email address (is there a reason the full email address can't just be detailed rather than find on a separate thread?), along with the info@ addresses for both IPark... and DCB.... The first 8 steps in the Template Defence thread and the IMPORTANT: KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN (red capitals 'read this!' headed section of post 2 of the NEWBIES thread explain all.
As long as you sent the N180 to DCB Legal (not DCBL) and the CNBC email given in the Announcement resource threads, you're good.
The reason why we don't give out links or email addresses on thread after thread is because:
- we deal in our own time with up to 100 new posts every day. Hence why the resource threads exist to stop us self combusting, and
- it is like Groundhog Day on here at the best of times and we do this for no reward, in between real life jobs, families, normal life etc., and
- signposting everyone to read the Template Defence 8 steps and the NEWBIES thread second post helps thousands of people (not just new posters) in one fell swoop. Plenty of Defendants lurk & read MSE and don't even need a thread because the resources make defending so very simple.
This could not be easier once you bookmark the Template Defence thread to follow the 8 steps through, including anticipating what happens at the end = discontinuance before the hearing in the Summer. We don't want to know about the DQ, nor questions about the joke of the Mediation phone call (all these early stages are covered). What we do collect are pictures of the Notices of Discontinuance for Umkomaas' thread, so we'll see you again in the Summer/Autumn when you strut proudly back here with your win.
'Trust the process' as they say in my neck of the woods (Brighton). The resources are there for us and for you.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
