Not sure Chirpy. The cover letter isn't very clear in that regard. That's the crux really. It looks like I have to reply in some capacity. It does state an appal, but only to the fee itself. I can contest a % of the £254 apparently. It isn't particularly clear. If it is a judgement in my absence, are summons not supposed to be recorded delivery or some such, to ensure the person being summoned is aware? I have had no such communication.

Thanks Gr1pr. I may have located the Newbies thread when I first came on here but I cannot now. I can't see anything relating to announcements either. I've just asked a work colleague to look also (in case 'm going mad), but he can't locate it either. I've search Newbie and tons of references come up for it, but I can't locate it

Two clicks back from here (Page 3 or one click from page 2) takes you to the first page of the forum, scroll up and you will see announcements with a blue border around them.  Can you show us a scan or picture of the letter; is it a N1SDT claim form from HMCTS or is it a debt collector letter or letter before claim?

Go to the main mse website, click on forums, Motoring, find this forum, Parking tickets,  Fines and Parking and click on it

Scroll down and you will see 7 announcements below the yellow banner, you want the 4th down from the top

Alternatively,  go to the top of this page after reading this reply , you will see the parking tickets,  fines and parking below Quick links, click on it and scroll down

Thank you Le_Kirk and Gr1pr. I have not previously seen that thread. There is a hell of a lot of info on there. I will need to go through and first of all, understand just what documents they have sent me but essentially they are telling me I have 14 days from to pay the £254. Once I understand what it is they have sent, I will hopefully find the correct response and act accordingly. Thanks.

We need to understand what you have received and from whom but, if it is asking for a sum of money to be paid within 14 days, that seems like a debt collector letter.  Show us or tell us who sent the letter and what it states - best way to do this is a scan or photo.
