Hi
Due to the announced price hikes coming this year with welsh water we are considering moving over to meter. 3 bedroom house 3 adults living there. Daughter does spend considerable amount of time in bathroom. We currently pay 66 a month and welsh water told us a meter should be cheaper. Has anyone changed over and found their bills increased ? Any advice

Their customer charging scheme outlines the rules and as indicated below you can go back to being charged on unmeasured charging (not on a meter) if you change your mind subject to the conditions listed. So if it turns out to be more expensive to be charged on the meter (measured charges) you could go back to unmeasured. https://corporate.dwrcymru.com/-/media/project/files/page-documents/corporate/library/our-charges/scheme-of-charges/scheme-of-charges-2025-2026.ashxI have sniped the bit. Sorry the picture is so large. You could do a water audit to see if it would be cheaper on a meter. Most water companies give an indication of how much water is used per wash or whatever. We are a different area but we pay £30 per month with three people.1
