The claim pack was dated 28/01/25 and I emailed the AOS (I have confirmation email) on day 6, 4th Feb as per the advice.

Can you please show us a picture of the Particulars of Claim - with all your personal detail hidden of course.

With a Claim Issue Date of 28th January, and having filed an Acknowledgment of Service('AOS') in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 3rd March 2025 to file a Defence.

That's two weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence but please don't leave it to the last minute.
To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look at the second post in the NEWBIES thread.
Don't miss the deadline for filing a Defence.

Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an AOS has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.

Yes and no.  Every DCB defence looks like it but you can add another paragraph.

Read a dozen (not including ParkingEye or Group Nexus/CP Plus cases).  Literally read any DCB Euro Car Parks or UKPC defence in 2025.  Show me one that doesn't use that paragraph!  Some of them add facts as well, hence why I want you to read more of them.  No links, go look!

And show us the POC. You'll see from the threads you find, what to cover up.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

No, you are studying the most recent threads from the beginning of 2025, starting on page 1 where this thread is and checking the last dozen pages etc

So search the forum,  not the advice threads

First draft of defence, could I have your thoughts please?

    3.     Referring to the POC: paragraph 1 is denied. The Defendant is not indebted to the Claimant. Paragraph 2 is denied. No PCN was "issued on 24/02/2024" (the date of the alleged visit).  Whilst the Defendant is the registered keeper, paragraphs 3 and 4 are denied. The Defendant is not liable and has seen no evidence of a breach of prominent terms.  The quantum is hugely exaggerated (no PCN can be £170 on private land) and there were no damages incurred whatsoever. The Claimant is put to strict proof of all of their allegations.

4.The claimant’s own evidence shows the said vehicle entering the car park at 12:34. A ticket was purchased, and displayed at 12:37 with an expiry of 15:37. Again, the claimant’s own evidence shows the vehicle leaving at 14:21, 1 hour 16 minutes before the ticket expired. This shows unequivocally that the required fee was paid in full, overpaid in fact. It can only be assumed, therefore, that the claimant’s only motivation is to extort further funds through intimidation, bullying and harassment, for nothing other than their own financial gain.

"The quantum is hugely exaggerated (no PCN can be £170 on private land...."  -  £160?

I'd remove this as it's inflammatory; we all agree with you but keep this out of defences!

Thought that might be a bit much.
Should I disclose that I still have the ticket in my possession? Concern is that whilst it shows the date and time is within the limits, it also shows that only the last 3 digits of the reg are printed. They've never outright stated that this is the issue, but it can't be anything else. I don't see how though that they can prove it was user error and not the fault of their own system.
