Paying into Trading 212 Cash ISA

Opened the account for a friend yesterday and then tried to make a fast deposit by linking to Natwest Reward Current Account. Trading 212 says no compatible account found. Then tried to make deposit by bank transfer, but can't figure out what details to put into payment info with Natwest. I can see the Trading 212 sort code, account number and reference number, but what do we enter for first and last name? Is this the person's name, as you normally do for payment to another person?

When paying into T212 treat them as a company payee not an individual as they use just one sort code and account number for all incoming funds.
COP should come up as TRADING 212 UK LTD
You MUST use your individual reference as well, that identifies your ISA.2 -
Brilliant thank you. Spent ages on it yesterday and got nowhere. No idea why it wouldn't connect direct to NatWest, as that would have been easierAyr_Rage said:When paying into T212 treat them as a company payee not an individual as they use just one sort code and account number for all incoming funds.

I had no problems linking Nationwide and Santander accounts directly with T212 (Invest) and have set them up as payees with those two banks and Chase.dave_dph said:

When paying them via Faster Payments at weekends, even though it shows complete with the sending bank T212 only credits the funds first thing on Monday mornings.1 -
I have Trading 212 myself, but I transferred in, therefore no payment was necessary.0

I linked to RBS from T212 via Open Banking no problems, all on my phone. T212 opened RBS app to approve the payment. I'd expect NatWest to work too (essentially the same platform).I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Credit Cards, Savings & investments, and Budgeting & Bank Accounts boards. No, tried a few times, same result each time. Brand new phone, so no idea what the issue was.sausage_time said:I linked to RBS from T212 via Open Banking no problems, all on my phone. T212 opened RBS app to approve the payment. I'd expect NatWest to work too (essentially the same platform).1 -
Very odd. Otherwise T212 and NatWest app are all good?dave_dph said:

I use open banking myself to view various accounts through the NatWest app. The only one that gave me grief was TSB, but with a new phone it worked straight off.0 -
Oh well, sounds like your friend is sorted in any case.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Credit Cards, Savings & investments, and Budgeting & Bank Accounts boards. It is now. We found the problem which prevented direct connection to the NatWest account. Despite them updating her profile to her married name a few years back, the current account was still showing as her maiden name in the app. A visit to branch resolved the issue.sausage_time said:Oh well, sounds like your friend is sorted in any case.3
