Well, they are still at it. Even though the bill shows the CV truncated to 1dp they are calculating to 3dp. What a shower of robbing *******, it looks like they round up to 1dp or calculate to 3dp whichever is most beneficial to them.

How are you getting on with the Energy Ombudsman?

I remember you mentioned 2 months ago in this thread you were intending to escalate the complaint as you had already allowed Fuse 8 weeks to investigate and resolve.

I can't really assist much more atm, as I am still awaiting a full response. I had one for the VAT, which was probably an aside within the total complaint. I'm seeking a full explanation to a similar level of detail for all their billing, as none of it really makes sense to me (but the explanation for VAT showed there is method behind their apparent madness)

All I can re-iterate is that Fuse told me (without prompting in any way) that they were now aware of the Ofgem guidelines on establishing the CV to be used; they told me hoping it explained the other issues I was asking about, but it doesn't.

Question re Fuse after just joining - on the usage graph I can see the Gas Standing Charge looks to be spread across each hour at 1p, which makes sense for the 24.40 daily rate, but it's also showing £0.0253 USG (0.452 kwh) every hour. My boiler has been on once for 20 mins today, so why is it showing use each hour. When my boiler is off it has never registered any use previously - often it won't be on all day and the only charge I'd have would be the standing charge, so what's happening here?

Their chat told me they only get gas readings once a day from smart meters, not every 30 minutes like all my previous suppliers. They told me that the daily use is spread across every hour in the day - so if I use my boiler for 1 hour, I've always seen 23 hours of no gas use previously, now I'm not going to be able to check I've not been billed for 23 of the hours. They also said the once daily reading goes out to them around midnight - so why it it showing gas use for me today if it hasn't sent the day's info through - they say it's 'predicting' my use.

So why they have a graph showing gas use for each hour when I won't be able to see my use for each hour, I've no idea. Is this how Fuse really works?

For some reason. Fuse seem to apply estimated usage to the current day, which should be updated/corrected when they get the actual meter readings.

( I've just checked my account, and despite having used no gas so far today, Fuse is showing usage of 1.792 m3 / 20.162kWh)

They also seem to apply estimated CVs, which likely change at least once (often more than once) until they eventually get the (supposedly) correct figure.

All rather shambolic and unnecessary, when they should simply wait until they have actual data.

It's uttely bizarre and nothing like any supplier I've been with. I've just checked my Bright app and it still knows my exact gas use every half hour, yet Fuse doesn't have a clue.

Obviously you were never with Symbio ! Their billing was truly weird and wonderful, although they always got it right eventually.

Can I ask Fuse customers, as they haven't connected to my smart meters they are currently showing estimates for my energy use on the usage graph, and they have told me that Fuse only collect gas readings once per day instead of every 30 minutes - once they have the gas use through, will it still show my hourly gas use on the graph (and not an average gas use for the day spread over the 24 hours)?

Looking at my Bright app, it's a shame that my usage figures don't match with those on my IHD - I was hoping the daily KWH figures would be the same on both, for gas and electricity, so I'm not sure which one I can use to compare to the figures Fuse are stating, once they get the info through.

Sorry, I don't have Smart meters. You do not need them for Fuse tariffs (apart possibly for their EV tariff)

If your smart meters have not connected, why not provide a manual meter reading, and then receive a bill based upon the actual readings? Fuse have recently improved their system and it now allows you to enter meter readings directly. Previously, they wanted a photo of the meter reading which then appeared to be read by someone at Fuse and entered manually in the meter reading box. You can still provide a photo if you prefer.

Hi, it's because I want them to tell me what their readings are, so that I can check them against my figures, as opposed to me telling them what the actual figures are.

I still don't know whether my gas usage by hour will be visible not, if anyone can answer that one.

If Fuse Energy are not receiving your meter readings remotely, and you are not providing Fuse Energy with them, then Fuse Energy won't know what your meter readings are, so will have to estimate them.
