And their incompetence continues.  They have now recalculated some of my bills and in one have used a CV of 52.9, what an absolute shower of clowns. Oh, and another £25 credit added.
When you say " recalculated some of my bills", they haven't actually tried to recover any apparent underpayment ,have they ?
They do it every month when they update the CV so I would expect it to be collected with the next bill.  Usually it has been the odd few pence but this one will be for £8.50 due to the massive and impossible CV.

As I've posted before , looking back at previous bills , Fuse have "adjusted" the data after the initial bill is available BUT the ££s figures have not been altered - haven't looked back at all but there was a difference of ~ £3.30 on the gas bill for November - didn't attempt to collect on latest bill for December.

My Oct bill had 8p added for Sept correction, Nov 11p for Oct correction and Dec 12p for Nov correction.  The DD taken was increased by those amounts above the actual billed amount for the month.  All those adjustments were caused by minor changes to the 3 decimal place CV being used in contravention of their licence conditions, using the correct truncated single decimal place CV would not have caused those billing adjustments. The bigger problem is that the bills simply don't add up, the calculated kWh don't correspond to the amounts charged, it is as iff someone has gone in and manually adjusted figures without correcting the underlying incorrect calculations shown.  My simple complaint has snowballed into something they seem unable to correct.

No such adjustments on my bills; As you say ,the underlying calculations don't even work out correctly! They can't even subtract final minus initial readings in m3 and come out with the right answer !!

The £8.50 difference has now disappeared.  The amount is as it was before the change but the CV shown now is 40.5 rather than the original 39.5 and updated 39.505 which doesn't add up, the kWh work out correctly to the lower CV. Just total nonsensical billing, the answer is correct(ish) but the workings are completely wrong.

If the debited amount was more than the previnotified amount, that would mean they've breached the DD Guarantee conditions.  However, might not be worth pursuing if it complicates things even more.

Many companies round their quoted rates shown on bills to two decimal places for simplicity, e.g. 3.141592654p becomes 3.14p.
However, they use the exact figures when doing the number crunching, and this can result in variances of a few pence on the final amount.

The bill has a correction to previous bill so is notified.
The difference has nothing to do with rounding, the whole calculation is wrong.  On one bill the figures used equate to 523 kWh but the bill shows 499 kWh which is correct.  Their whole billing system for gas is a train wreck.
