Did the same garage do both? How many miles have you driven and do you have a physical service book for the car? If you do have they followed service intervals, stamped things that they have not done?

As others have said the lack of advisory on the brake pads is not a given. You need to check when the brake fluid was last changed and when the interval was, but I imagine taxis do more braking than most cars with lots of journeys. Some car manufacturers have different service guidelines for private hire vehicles, they should at least be checking the fluid for water and air but fro, what you said was done it sounds like they are either just doing a minor/interim service or only doing what the car flags as being done. Though unless you asked them to do a brake fluid change, a major service, or anything else it is unlikely that they have done anything wrong.

Do you work entirely on your own, or through a company? If through a company do they offer a maintenance service?

They'll work to a scope of work that ought to be published or shared so that you can see exactly what checks you're paying them for, but you can't just assume that it's 'everything'.
