I've now received an "Notice of Allocation to the Small Claims Track (Hearing)"
    Is it nearly over??
Does your Notice of Allocation give a hearing date (at the court you chose in your N180) and therefore a date for submitting witness statement and evidence?
Yes, the hearing date is 12th Feb 2026 (in person).

Claiment has until 4pm on 15th January 2026 to pay the court trial fee of £27.

Can't see a specific date for witness statement??

Can't see a specific date; but it says that all documents and copy must be delivered to the court and claiment no later than 14 days before the hearing.

    Happy to post the pages....

No need. That is the usual deadline. Same as almost every case. Nothing new.

So now I just need to write a witness statement and then submit to all parties?

    14 days before the deadline....?

14 DAYS OR EARLIER, DEFINITELY NOT LATER, to the local civil court and to the lawyers if used by the claimant, so 2 destinations

but always worth checking if the hearing fee has been paid just after that date, if its before the WS bundle deadline ?

to be clear, you are expected to work out that deadline date, not the court

Well - yes & no - we hope you should know:

    (a)  from your reading of the 'IMPORTANT: KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN' section of the NEWBIES READ THIS FIRST thread (post 2) that that's the normal court process,

    but that

    (b)  from your reading of Umkomaas' DCB Legal thread, they will discontinue first.

So then Should I file my WS in say a months time?

Not sure how I am going to defend it since I already said why I was parking there in my appeal.
