Zzoomm as far as I know are not a member of the Ofcom scheme, so compensation following that schemes ‘rules’isn’t going to happen .As stated several times , I can’t explain why Openreach would be the slightest bit involved in your ZZoomm order , that’s the baffling part , Openreach don’t normally use direct labour for their own civils work , any necessary excavating and duct fixing they use contractors to do this for them , but if those that turned up were in liveried vehicles and had Openreach uniforms on , I’d have to accept they were from OR , if they just said ‘we are from Openreach ‘ I’d be a little suspicious they were misrepresenting themselves….
Openreach don’t know who you are , why would they , they have no way to make appointments with you directly , at best , if Openreach were attending at Zzoomms request , then the correct process would be for OR to tell Zzoomm they were going to be on site at a particular time and date and the onus is on Zzoomm to let their customer (you) know about it ….anyway good luck to you trying and get compensation out of ZZoomm , as Openreach didn’t promise you anything, they won’t be entertaining any claim from you .0
