Fayolle living near the sea is not all sometimes it is cracked up to be, there has been a murky fret / mist / fog hanging around here for the last 3 or 4 weeks, the air is very damp, but it is not raining, snowing for which I am glad, because of the damp air it is also IMO very cold, I am convinced that we have our own micro climate here, as what ever the weather maps show, we get completely different.Car radio code sorted !
who knew if you press buttons 1 and 6 you get the serial number of the radio, then vin number off front of car, onto dealers computer, in a couple of mins you get the radio code.

The two of them I bought even with the postage were cheaper than Mr S!

not sure if i’ll fly today, off to look at care homes. Sis has suggested it’s now urgent. Mum is accusing dad of being a murderer and claiming he’s trying to kill her and attempting to run off.
DW, WM and TD x 1.
Recycling bin was out but not at the end of the drive but the lovely bin man cam and took it as i was grabbing my coat and planning to run out.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning all,
DH dropped at the station for a day out in the big city. Roadworks have seized up the small town completely so we left early, I dropped him whilst in the queue but at a point that I could escape it. The walk will have done him good 😈, even if it is dull and raining. Kaz - it is accepted that we have our own micro climate here, being so high compared to the surroundings, we always have different weather, even to the next village only 2 miles away. I also sorted my car radio - the mystery of the disappearing presets. Not sure it is how it was, but I have radio stations saved as favourites, so that will do me. And a job off the list to boot.
Mr M is due at lunchtime. I’m not sure what else I will plan for the day. However, yesterday’s finds did include the venetian blind duster thingy that I had mislaid, so that’s an excuse that I no longer have.
Good luck with the searching, Valli. Btw that window frame improvement was amazing.CoG, I am glad that A had a good birthday celebration. I hope the fracture clinic appointment gives good news.
HB, the total number is amazing. As a percentage, it must really please you. Maybe that Better really is good enough. Such an achievement.
Eltee, I am holding my breath for today’s find….6 -
Morning all.
I have cleared and S&S'd the kitchen and DR, PUPA in the LR, showered and dressed, made my bed, and cleaned the bathroom more thoroughly than just giving it the usual S&S - like Valli, I was horrified when I saw how much dirt came off the bits of the window frames that I can actually reach.
We haven't got much else planned for today. I am still coughing, so a possible lunch out with friends has not materialised. I downloaded and printed out a lot of family history documents yesterday evening whilst searching for the death of my elusive gt-gt-gt-aunt Susannah, so I need to clear my desk and make a new to-do list. Rosie will need a walk after lunch: we're due some heavy rain in the next couple of hours, but it should be dry enough to go out by around 3pm. I still haven't ordered the external CD-ROM reader and hard drive. There is also a birthday present to wrap up for DH (next week), and I might go mad and buy some concert tickets for us.
(((Hugs))) to Valli, Narc0, and anyone else in need of some today xx
A big gold star (virtual, of course - no need to find a place to store it!) for HB, for all your hard work this week x
Good luck with the furniture moving, MMM - don't put your back out x
Hope you're coping ok with the changes at TT, round x
Please help yourselves to my spare spoons and sticks, and I'm about to make coffee, should anyone care to join me xxx6 -
Fayolle, same here - min 2.5 hours to a coast
Kazw - thank you for sharing the car code info, useful to know
Valli and Narco and anyone else in need - hugs and sympathy
I have just done the bare minimums this week, insomnia causing huge problems and being tired makes the grief harder to deal with.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Morning all, just. Didn't manage wordle today.
I have done a work shift, most dailies, wiped all phones, sockets, switches and mouses, cleaned desk and PC and thoroughly cleaned the living room and dining room. This has all been while I've been waiting for a repair man. Once he's been, I'll be able to walk Poppet.Spend less now, work less later.6 -
