Good morning all *squeaks*Well the Covid/flu that I thought I had, didn't turn out to be either of those, but has been the worst illness I've ever experienced. A week and a half on, I'm still without a voice and on antibiotics. I ended up sent to A&E on Saturday by a pharmacist via 111, as I was on day 4 of a high fever that wasn't responding to paracetamols, flu like symptoms including being sick. My bloods showed that I was fighting some sort of infection, so I was sent home eventually with antibiotics. I reacted to these on the second day of taking them so had to have a new drug prescribed, plus an inhaler for my constant coughing. The inhaler sadly hasn't helped. The antibiotics thankfully stopped the fever straight away, but as I said, I'm still not 100% and nearly finished the course now. DS2 also ended up sent home on Monday lunchtime with a high temperature, and he's on antibiotics as well. Luckily, he seems to have bounced back much quicker and has gone back to school today. DS1 is now feeling peaky though, so not sure if he'll last the full day at school today or whether they'll send him home (he's secondary so I imagine they may be less willing to send home there).I managed to do a simple meal-plan this week (I had no appetite) with DH and sent him off to the supermarket. I've not done next week's plan yet. There's some clean washing on the landing, so I will try and potter and get that put away. DH had to do all of the uniforms last weekend as I was too ill to get out of bed.Hugs for all who need or want them. xEnjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20178

Morning all. Coffee time!
GWS sexymouse and mouse kits x
I hope you got a better night's sleep, Redo x
I've had about 4 hours of sleep between coughing fits - had drunk 3 cuppas before 7am in an attempt to calm it down.
Batten down the hatches, MMM x and anyone else in the path of Eowyn! It was really blowy here, and raining hard, when I woke at 4.45, then it calmed down for a few hours, and the wind has just picked up again - but the sun is shining and I can see plenty of blue sky behind the storm.
Lots of helpful info in your post, MadamMin, thank you x
More (((hugs))) for Narc0 and Valli xx
Fayolle, you appear to have shifted an awful lot of admin this week - congratulations! x
So far today I have
- cleared the breakfast things and S&S'd the kitchen
- showered, washed my hair, and dressed
- opened the windows to let some fresh air in, since the neighbours across the lane at the back appear to have finished the smoky bonfire that they started on Monday (maybe that's what's given me this cough?)
- waved a reluctant Rosie off for her walk with L. Rosie hates strong wind and rain, but L will take good care of her
- phoned HMRC and spoke to a helpful person
- taken some of DH's books downstairs and put them on his shelf in the LR. I was sorely tempted to put hem straight in the CS box, as he hasn't looked at them in 3 years, but he would not be happy if I did, even if I asked first
- hoovered through downstairs because Rosie is moulting big time
Still to do: various things from earlier in the week which are still unfinished, plus I have just updated my to-do list with other bits and pieces that have occurred to me as I've walked round the house. The ancestors are slowly coming out of the woodwork: my gt-gt-gt-grandfather was hiding in a debtors' prison.
I've drunk my coffee so had better plod on with some proper work. Hope you all have a good day and stay safe xxx

Hello. Wordle in 3.
Dry windy here, nearly got blown over on my dog walk but it is mostly sunny. I have done a work shift, dailies, admin and hoovering. I have another work shift later but before that I'm just doing puzzles and knitting.Spend less now, work less later.9 -

Thanks for the GWS wishes. ionafan I'm sorry to hear that you are poorly too. I hope you get well soon as well. xWell I'm flying via DH as I've asked him to wash and change our bedding as it's Friday, so been a week. I've also spent an hour doing a prolific study to earn a few pennies. No phone call from DS1's school so far, so I'm hoping that he will be ok (he finishes at 2.30pm, so I'd imagine I would have heard by now if he were coming home). Finished up leftovers from the fridge for lunch, so was able to have something hot, which helps. I've also showered in the hope the steam will help everything to loosen up.Stay safe all of you who are flying in storm zones. xEnjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20179

Managed to clear some grot in my study yesterday - the room of doom. How many paperclips and rock hard erasers does one need. Cleaned a couple of mugs that have pens in and checked they all work. Sharpened some pencils. Went round with the duster, it's looking a tad less horrible in there now. Also had a clean in the downstairs cloakroom. Gave the loo and basin a good clean. Will do the shower on Monday - OH uses it when he gets up early on a Monday morning, so I'll use it myself and clean it after.A good first week of Flying - OH is off today so we're going to the cinema shortly. Hi all
Hope everyone is safe and not affected by the storm, it's horrible here but we are "only" in the amber warning. Paid stuff done, some recycling sorted, tea in the sc, one load of washing over the airer, finance spreadsheets updated.
DH should be home from work in the next hour. Sitting here fretting about the wind outside is not helpful, I am going to wash the bathroom floor!8
