- update church website with forthcoming events
- WM/TDx1
- make up DH's bed with fresh bedding

- be ready with a list of jobs for J the gardener this afternoon
- drive my car gingerly approx 3.5 miles to the repair shop before the schools' rush hour starts, at no more than 20mph and with hazard flashers on [ETA: I didn't exceed 15mph, and it will probably be done tomorrow]
- cook tea early so that DH can go to model railway club
- start sorting boxes of slides
...and I forgot the most important thing, which is to walk Rosie, so I'm just about to go out with her before it gets even colder9 -

Day 7 Framed photos - keep & display
I decided to re-box Christmas stuff (it never made its way to the loft), so got it all spread out on LR floor. Sort of wishing I hadn't but it'll be worth it in another hour or so. Am having a good sort thru' & chucking c@rp, like I should have before I boxed it up the first time!
Maybe it'll end up loftbound this time

A disappointing haul on the numbers going out today, but the running total is now 1,100 exactly. Not quite halfway with only 10 days to go and I've done all the easy and obvious stuff now. I had to haul down some big and heavy stuff from the attic which is currently in the dining room to go to somewhere in particular which may want it/them or to the tip. Either way, big things leaving is always a good thing. Discovered that the CD/tape/radio player I've had for over 30 years but not used for the past 15 doesn't work at all so that's for the tip tomorrow along with a pile of stuff on the dining table with a cat sitting on top of it.I dusted an area in my RoD after clearing a shelf and the sewing machine has been put back on the bottom shelf, so it's no longer on the floor. That is HUGE progress. Not sure if the marmalade I made this morning is set. I'm cross because the thermometer showed 104.9 and 105 in one spot, and Pam Corbin says the setting point for Seville marmalade is 104.5 so it jolly well should have set. I really don't want to have to reboil it. I'll have another test of it in the morning, and I've put the small amount unjarred in the fridge. If it sets in there that'll do me.Better is good enough.7

Good evening
I did a laundry shuffle when I arrived home. And put the airer away.
Unfortunately work was neither uneventful nor blissful harmony, (but I appreciate the thoughts). In fact I'm still working out which way is up 🙃. Top boss came (always alarming) and informed me that if I want to carry on doing the job I've done since 2013 I'll have to go up to the hospital to do it. Okay. And what's the other option? Stay where I am and do a different job. So. Bye bye Therapy. Hello Macmillan/ uniform ordering and Phlebotomy. I'm staying where I am. But will be working with different people. I'm quite excited actually. And I didn't have a meltdown! Took it in my stride. I'm proud of me.
In other news Pops continues to improve.
What a year! And we're still in January!!!

well my bathroom is the sparklingest it's been for ages...I finished off on my hands and knees mopping the floor with a toothbrush and cif in the corners and in the grout and hand mopping the tiles.
Mum's had a meltdown (again) and is fantasising that she's being attacked by dad (which she isn't - he's trying to help her dress) - so I've been to another care home today which is another no. As I was being shown round I was shown one bedroom, which was a shared bedroom (two ladies) with one bed occupied - and it also appeared to be being used for wheelchair storage! Chairs stacked on a corridor, too. They offered to show me upstairs but I had seen enough.

Glad Pops continues to improve.
Another successful day here and no tears so far.
- heard back from auction house re the china, they will take all I listed although warned it wouldn't fetch much - that doesn't matter; it's better than the tip and easier than charity shops who aren't always keen unless you take in a whole set.
- took 2 cases of clothes to Mum. She seemed fairly content, a little quiet but listening and making appropriate comments, pleased to see me. GP has seen her since yesterday's tumble and no harm done although they will check her bp for the next week.
- had a quick look at the sea but no time to swim until I've done a bit more. Went to C00p and got a couple of things for dinner, including some reduced strawberries and raspberries.
- finished emptying 5 drawer-dressing table and 5-drawer chest. Have now filled 2 more suitcases with clothes and curtains for the charity shop.
- went through bathroom cupboard. Kept a few bits, threw away out of date stuff and left just a few items in case DB wants them.
- have organised all things for DB to consider in a box and put few more things for Mum in a bag. Have put all cutlery ("best" and 3 boxes of knife/grapefruit sets) in a box as I'm going to sort it more carefully at home.
- have now emptied the 2 drawers of the dresser.
I think that's it for today but it's a satisfying number of items on my list ticked.
Mr N arrived just before 9pm so that is good.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.7 -

Morning all. Wordle in three. Have already walked Poppet and about to start paid stuff.
The car wasn't ready, they didn't have a courtesy car so DH has had to borrow SILs car to get to work today. It's not the first time the local garage has let us down, and much as we try to support village businesses, we won't be using them again.
Not sure if I'll fly today as I'm out with friends later.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.8
