I would say spare a thought for Rick because Rick has shown us he was very ill and he was trying so hard to fight back , All of our hearts go out to Rick and his family and fsdss life was falling apart and she was still taking the time to keep us up-to date .
And what this post shows when our loved ones are very ill there is hope and this forum has been touched by Ricks story .

I don't believe in the concept of hell, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals.

The turn around in the woman's stength is awe inspiring and is a testament to what this site really can do.

Sure it can save people hundreds of pounds for hundreds of people. But can it really affect peoples live like this?

I think Spare a Thought for Rick deserves to be post of thhe week. The OP has opened her heart on the thread and has raised the profile of donating blood which is a big issue for hospitals.the love the family seem to have for Rick and each other really shines through.

Not financially helpfull....But sometimes it is worth finding out money is not the most imortant thing

I heartily agree with globalds for both nomination and reason! The added bonus is that the £50 will be donated to the hospitals family room!:T

Hi, could I nominate "spare a thought for Rick" please?

It certainly puts things into perspective when you read about terrible things such as this.

    Onwards and upwards Rick!
