There's no victim-blaming in the posts above, just challenging your conclusion that everything must have been caused by GCH, when there are other possibilities, probably more likely ones - nobody is disputing that you've been on the receiving end of several unpleasant things over a short timeframe, but correlation doesn't imply causation, so perhaps better to keep an open mind at this stage rather than publicly accusing a company of acting illegally?jusul said:I’ll trust my bank and the fraud team over you. You’re victim blaming. Fortunately that’s not how the bank and police work.
Anyway, I'd expect your bank to arrange for any fraudulent transactions to be refunded (to the extent that this hasn't already been done) and not to take matters any further, and likewise Action Fraud are unlikely to pursue the matter with any noticeable enthusiasm, but do post back with any outcomes.3 -

No, but you said your cat was missing and that someone was sending you messages on your phone saying they had it (and threatened to kill it).jusul said:I never said my cat was kidnapped by the way.
Which means that whoever sent you that message needs to know who you are, know you have a cat, know the cat is missing and know your phone number (or whatever other means of messaging they used).
This is many orders of magnitude more likely to be someone who knows you *in person* than a company that sells gift cards on the internet. For starters - how would get get all that additional information? And why?
I hope you find your cat soon.2 -
