Morning all,Failed wordle (had the last 3 letters), 2 lines on connections, completed strands with no hints, tiles completed perfectly on the second go.Pleased to see my tip about Napisan has helped a few of you. I was very late to the game in discovering it, and found it online as a tip myself, so pass it on when I can.Had the most horrendous night - was in agony with my back/hip problem (even lying flat on my back was hurting), and woke up multiple times. Needless to say, I have a headache this morning. Unfortunately, I have my interview for my new agency at 11am, and it takes 30 minutes to drive there, so no point in trying to phone the doctor to make an appointment for me today, as I will be out for at least a few hours in the middle of the day. If I don't get work for tomorrow, then I will phone them then. Our surgery won't make advanced appointments - you have to phone on the day at 8.30am for urgent, and then 10.30 for non urgent ones. E-consult is usually turned off too.Need to get the rest our our bedding washed today. We had good news last night that DH's car has been fixed at last, so he is going along there to collect it this morning and return his courtesy car. This means that from next week, he'll be increasing his work hours, so this will be his last Wednesday off (he's been working reduced hours since he had brain surgery last year as his license had to be surrendered and they took longer than the 6 months to return it to him).I think I may try and delegate some of the flying today to DH, as bending etc is painful.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20178

Well furniture moved from one room to another room, much more room, whilst moving stuff about in the rooms had the skirting cleaned, and a big hoover, yuk to the dust. Now all I need is OH to sort / sell / bin etc his crap. Then I would have even more room, and OH would have room for a rowing machine he wants to buy.Right two more items listed on FC.Ironing next.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Just wanted to hop back and talk about counting things as part of decluttering because it might seem a bit nerdy and obsessive but it has a logic tha's really working for me. As counting is part of the system I'm using - 15 items in each category today for instance - I have to count them anyway. I'm pretty good with spreadsheets so this is easy for me. Might not be for anyone else who might think that filling one box with things to go suits them better, because small boxes are good on low item days and big boxes suit bigger things. Who knows what works for each individual. We each have to use a system we find works for us and if that involves inventing a system then be inventive.Apparently we should declutter the biggest optical irritation first, but that's not what I'm doing. I'm doing the areas where I've been storing gibble for a long, long time. I didn't declutter when I moved to this house, from the flat, the previous move was a two stage process, the one before that I was distraught because a (very) longdistance relationship had ended and the one before that .... You get the idea. The stuff I'm dealing with goes back to 1984, when my parents sold the farm and decluttered a lot of stuff to me, plus all my acquisistions since then. So at least 40 years of inherited and acquired stuff by someone who has a tendency to hoard and is expert at storing things. I really am. I can pack the boot of a car more efficiently and effectively than anyone I know. It's a work of art when I do it.The house isn't a work of art. It could be - my parent's was, in the bits that showed, so I know how to (what they call) stage a house. And that's pretty much what I want for this place. I'm tired of the dust, the clutter, the never being able to find anything because there's so much, and the loss of time it causes in my life because I'm constantly re-organising stuff. This morning I dusted the big shelf in the dresser cupboard because after a couple of weeks thinking about what actually belongs there - today I know. At last. And the cleared shelf on the built in bookshelf in my office - today I know which books are going there so that got dusted too. This is, and is going to be, a very long, tiring process, that involves a lot of mental and emotional effort. I don't mind any of that because the end goal is so clear to me that I haven't lost focus, motivation or determination. But the one thing I dread is feeling defeated by it because it's going to take a long time to get this sorted. As I said, Marie Kondo said it takes six months to fully implement her system, which I'm not really using, but I think is realistic when it comes to divesting myself of all gibble that is holding me back. So, I count things. It gives me a great sense of achievement, and where I am in the process. This morning I emptied out the box where we keep all the wrapping paper, bottle bags, pretty gift bags, ribbons and all that stuff. It doesn't include Christmas wrapping paper which lives in an old kitchen bin (second hand from years ago I scored when someone else decluttered it) that lives in the attic. I'm very fond of that bin because Layla used to stand on her hind legs and peer into it to see what the gorgeous smells of rotting food were, but she never once turned it over or tried to get anything it out. It does, actually spark joy in me, that old kitchen bin, so I'm keeping it without a second thought and it's really useful for Christmas wrapping paper. But the box of gift wrapping paper etc, that was out of control and it's where all the ribbons live as well, but it's all out sight, so there's no empty shelf or space to motivate me.That one box yielded 38 items that can go to the Scrapstore and I know they'll be thrilled with all of it.That's why I count. That's a huge number of things I never have to look at again, sort through while I'm looking for something in particular, 38 items I don't have to reject ever again or think about. Huge progress.Better is good enough.9
