I have postponed my usual Tuesday weekly food shop today as i wasnt feeling too good after work and i didnt really feel like going and sitting in rush hour traffic in 30+ degrees heat either. So hopefully i will go tomorrow instead.

Did the pump just  annoyingly click over at the petrol station- lol? I have a theory about super sensitive pumps. I reckon they were made on purpose so that someone somewhere can lay on a beach all year round with the pennies made from the accidental over clicks. I refuse to play game, if I see the amt has headed to ending 0.99 I stop there. No one is suntanning themselves at my expense. My husband thinks Im completely nuts about this but his is a company vehicle so not him paying.

Haha. I used to be bothered about getting it spot on but now im not so bothered. I think years ago it was a lot easier to get it exactly to the round figure as the cost per litre was a lot less so you have a longer time frame in which to stop it, but now the cost per litre is a lot more the numbers move a lot quicker and it is harder to get it exactly where u want to.

Also i think back in the day when most people paid with cash it was easier to have it at a round figure so you could just hand over a note and walk away with no awkwardness with either giving an extra pence or so, or waiting for the change or saying your not bothered about receiving it from them. But now with most people paying via card, it simply doesnt make any difference to the transaction whether its £20.00 or £20.01 it all gets processed in exactly the same way. But you may find it a little annoying if you like round figures and you see it on your bank statement at a later date, but that doesnt bothered me tbh. So now i just try and get it to round about a round figure, if it goes over then so be it.

I do like your little theory though haha  :D:D
