You’re doing so well.  The increased daily payment amounts are bringing the debt balance down a lot quicker.

I think you said previously that you are on minimum wage, yet, you have a mortgage, paying down debts and have savings. It just goes to show what’s possible. I wish I had half your determination.

How do you stay so motivated?

Thank you. Yes i enjoy making my daily payments more and more now as i can see it coming it down quicker now. And from today every 3 days payments is over £10 paid off my debts which is good. It does mean the monthly lump sum payments will become less each month though, as my salary is still the same and there will be less of it left at the end of the month after the increasing daily payments come out of it.

Yes im on minimum wage doing 40 hours a week, live on my own and pay all my bills including mortgage and my debts out of my wage. I currently pay about one third of my monthly salary on my debts. I am doing alright so far and i think im on track to be debt free for xmas day all being well. I do have savings but i expect that to be mostly all be spent by xmas id imagine, i have my car Mot next month which is an unknown cost and a stressful time as it could be any figure but unknown until the time, i have my car insurance end of october which is another £200+ and then i have xmas which a waste of money and i hate it lol.

Im just trying my best to get it all paid off as soon as possible, the quicker it is paid off the less time i have it over my head stressing me out and the quicker i am debt free and have all my monthly salary to myself that i can use for other things.

I think one of the main reasons why im not doing too bad with this is because i post on this forum, it makes me public accountable. I dont like letting people down so i said i was going to do daily payments and get it all paid of at a certain date so that is what im going to try my best to do so i dont let people down aswell as myself.

Also i know that as soon as its paid i can use my time to save money for other more enjoyable things like holidays, days out, new car, home improvements, treats etc. Thats my motivation to get it all paid off as soon as possible.

If you want to spend less at Christmas, maybe you can check out the Everything Free Christmas started by Dizzycaps over in the Challenge section and add some ideas to it. I know I may have to spend about $40 on a present for the family member whose name is drawn for me and about $30 for food. My grandnieces and nephews mainly get books that I buy each month at the library book sale and put in a couple of boxes for them at the holidays (as their birthdays come in the same month - all three of them). The other grandniece and nephew I never get to see, so aren't sure what to get them. May go for books for them also as their mother doesn't like toys that might mess up her house. Christmas is a stressful time here too.

Thanks. I dont spend much at xmas anyway, i just find it stressful buying things for the sake of it and trying to know what to buy people. luckily i dont have many to buy for so its not too bad. Hopefully your Christmas isn't too stressful for you this year  o:)

It really goes to show how very small payments can add up and make a difference. I read your diary daily, read the NSD and your daily payment and think to myself Ive spent more than that today on rubbish or nonsense.

It wont be long before that figure starts with a 25.
