This week the end of week update is back in the green after the announcement of a 2 week ceasefire of the war the stock market picked up a bit which brought my investment pie to +£5.05 (+0.44%).

Today i have applied for another job with a new employer. It is more money per hour but 38 hours a week but the extra money means it is more money than i would have been on in my current job doing 40 hours. Plus there is opportunity to do overtime also, which i used to do in other jobs to earn extra money, but there is no chance of overtime in my current employment.

When i switched roles with my current employment last year someone took my previous position that i vacated. This person yesterday gave their notice in to leave as they have found another job. The manager came to me and asked me to come back to fill that position again, as they never wanted me to leave in the first place as they said i was a very good worker and had actually stopped me from internally transferring a couple of times previously. They told me to think about it over the weekend. But i do not want to take this position which i will be telling them on Monday. But i have a feeling that when the regional manager comes to the branch on Tuesday that he will discuss the situation with the manager and they will try and put pressure on me to go back to this role, which i don't want to do. But i find it hard to say no sometimes, i don't like awkward conversations and often agree to things just to keep people happy and avoid conflict/awkward situations. But this time i am determined not to be pressured into doing something i don't want to do. I even think that because of the way the regional manager is, that he could well say if i don't do it then he won't let me take the other role that i have applied to do that is 39.5 hour job.

So as a backup and maybe a new start somewhere else i have applied for something else as i can only see where i work getting worse and worse over time. I have nothing to lose by going for an interview and seeing what the new company has to offer and then making my mind up whether it is a good idea to take on new beginnings elsewhere. That is of course i even get an interview, but it's worth a try. I'm pushing myself out of my comfort zone but if i don't then i will be stuck in the same job forever.

Well my regional manager didn't say a single word to me today other than "Good morning". So i'm still non the wiser about where i stand about taking the other job role with more hours. will have to see if anything was said to the managers tomorrow when i ask them. But i'm starting to wish that i get the job that i applied for at a different company as i certainly don't feel wanted, valued or appreciated where i am right now. Especially the way they have handled the cut in hours and the lack of consultation etc. So i will have to see what happens in the rest of the week.
