2025 - No Craft Spending - We WILL bust my stash and make pretty things!!!!!

Hi, familiar friends and new faces.
I'm late to the party (as usual), but I do want and need to join in again.
I did use lots of stuff crafty stash, but I swear it is still breeding! Somehow - I have no idea how it could have happened - the postie has dropped some fabric through my letterbox - yep, just like that, complete with a £47.05 charge. What a cheek! I do know what I'll use it for, well most of it ...
You know how they say, "Only have what you can fit in its container"? Well, I think my container is my house, or at least 3 rooms in my house. I hope to have the strength of mind to get rid of some stuff this year, as well as making things, and try to get all my crafting things into one room at least (not going to be easy - and I'll have to hide any empty containers too).
It doesn't help that I've been out of crafting mode since mid December and need a good kick up the derriere to get going
again.

Chinese New Year cards, new home card for our new neighbours who moved in yesterday
WIPs - pant liners, Christmas blanket (Gingerbread CAL, not the one I made 3 of last year), bookshelf project (been hanging about so long now I think it will be cushion cover/tote bag ...), tapestry cat
New - sofa station (we've ordered new chairs) - thought it might spur me on, so that's what the postie brought.

Happy New Year, Everyone! Lang may yer lums reek!
@Craftingmad, thanks for getting us going. Glad to see you’re off the mark too.
@emsi_b, I’m guessing you get the award for setting the pace! Your cards are so pretty.
@Soontobeoap, congratulations on getting to grip with that mending. It usually doesn’t take long and it’s important, but it’s just not very interesting. Love the elves.
@Cupcakcraftscuddlycanine, good start made.
@Dizzycap, I hope you feel better soon. Your cards are lovely.
@Liverpool_Anne, that’s a lovely baby blanket.
@Tiggermad, great start.
@CraftyRach, I like those cards. Your blanket is geourgeous – and I love the sentiment behind it. The baby card is cute.
@Katiehound, well done on starting. And I agree wholeheartedly re black and fluffy!
@Thrifty_Taylor, Hiya! Excuse my ignorance, but what are ‘finks’?
@mrsnicewriting, those cards are beautiful.
@RavenRover, great start (and a great bargain).
As for me, I’ve finished the grand total of zilch so far this year. However, here’s what’s coming up.
January Plans (as it’s now 27th, it’ll be a push)

Two valentine's cards made- 7/200. The craft fair was a bit duff. A profit of 50p if I conveniently forget about the petrol to get there 😬
I have a few more part made cards on my desk to finish off. I do need to make a birthday card and an anniversary card the next couple of weeks. I might look at ideas for a birthday card organiser and get myself organised for the year... (That would be a first!)Make £2025 in 2025- £751.88/£2025
Make £2024 in 2024- £852.21/£2024
74/200- bust my craft stash 2025!
166/200- bust my craft stash 2024! £106.80 spent

Hello again.
@ emsi_b, that’s a shame that the craft fair wasn’t up to much. Maybe it people are finding money a bit tight just now. I know quite a few folk who get paid early in December, then don’t get paid again until this week.
Well I have started at last.
I’ve done a bit of the crochet blanket, but I’m not sure that I’ll get the part done by Friday (too much going on).
I ‘cheated’ with the new home card, and found one I’d made (and counted – and showed) last year.
I did make 4 Chinese New Year cards instead of 2, nothing special, just printed images mounted on the card, embellished with some gold peel-off strips. I discovered my gold and silver pens have dried out, so I used red pen to write the messages. I guess I’ll be buying gold and silver pens now!

My efforts have not been massive.But I have glued some lights into a pottery tree I glazed.Built two Lego sets in an effort to declutter.Restated my umbrella plant using a piece of dowel.Glazed another tree at a pottery painting night for my sister for Christmas.So 7 out of target.Better than it could be. But still nothing big done.

Managed a little bit of crafting this weekend. I am STILL ill
doc says my chest is clear and it's just a nasty virus.
6 cards and a card organiser- to hopefully make sure I get my personal makes sorted for the year. In two minds whether to print out a set of monthly birthdays (with "spare" dates for any newbies) or just do it by hand with some lined paper. I have a card in it already for this months- my dad gets Pluto as we're all going to Disneyland Paris in the summer! I think one of the butterfly cards will be for my MIL- I think she'll like it, but hubs gets final say. These ones are all from the oddments on my desk!
I have two more cards for this month- valentine's and anniversary, but need to do those when hubs isn't home so the remain a surprise!!
Now up to 14/200

@CraftyRach, that’s a lovely cosy wee jacket.
@nimbo, you’re doing fine – much better than me. I’ve not managed to establish a a routine for my crafting this year.
@emsi_b, great cards – I especially like the butterfly ones.
Keep on crafting, everyone!

A very special birthday card for my youngest daughter!
project 6 & 7/52 complete from stash only7 -
Lots of lovely makes going on. I've made some cushion covers, not from material I already had but at least the material was bought within the last week and used at lightning speed compared to coming in and sitting for month (years)
Plus I've used some cards/card making bits this last week so quite pleased with progress
