Morning all, thanks @Coxy11 I did have the chicken shashlick last night and it was delicious. A bit oilier (is that a word?) than ones I’ve had in the past but I ate it up!

Meeting a friend for coffee this morning then home to clear out a few cupboards that have been annoying me. It’s heavy rain here so I’m quite happy to potter.

Fruit and yoghurt for breakfast, tomato, lentil and garlic soup for lunch and homemade burgers with salad and chips for dinner. I’ll pick up some HEXB rolls when I’m out to have with the burgers.

Have a good day everyone. Oh and @bubbs I’m sure you’ll have a great date at company shop 🤣 can’t wait to see your bargains 😉

Morning all, it's a beautiful day here @Jellybaby, shame you have rain.  I've washed the bedding and got it hanging out on the line.  I'm hopeful it will dry with the sun but as there isn't any wind I'm not sure - they can go on the airer if they don't dry and they'll certainly be dry when we get back from Wales!

Hope you get some good bargains at the Company Shop @bubbs - you usually do.

How's the new job going @Coxy11?  Is the training completed now?

Needed a quick breakfast this morning as DH needed to take his motor scooter into the shop for MOT as that runs out while we're away.  As it's in town it means I have to drive down behind him to bring him home again.  Also means going down there again later to pick it up!

    Today's plan:

    B - fried egg sandwich - HEB; P; 3
    L - minced beef hash - P; S; F
D - lamb and chickpea tagine, herby couscous with pomegranate seeds - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - LF spread 3

I'll be reading while I'm away when I can but won't be posting as suspect there will be quite a bit of eating out and as we all know you can't always get SW friendly meals and if you can you get a bit fed up with jacket potatoes & beans, steak or chicken with salad etc!

    Have a good day everyone.

    Afternoon all,

DH's birthday today and a non-work day for me. We went to Canterbury for a walk around in the sunshine. I picked up an order at B00ts and we had coffee/cake and lunch out ooops. Oh well!

The new job is going well - team are really nice, just need to get my head around the processes. I actually prefer to be busy than not, and just as well as our caseload of people waiting for an initial assessment is 200+. I was phoning patients yesterday and managed to get through my allocated list with time to spare, so the day flew in. Back in tomorrow.

I woke in the early hours with a headache and still have it :( Thinking it's coz of taking on lots of information yesterday plus not drinking enough (only had 2 herbal tea all day yesterday). Going to dig out my water bottle and pack that for my desk drawer plus sort breakfast and lunch for tomorrow shortly. DH has just gone off to the school job.

Waiting to see what goodies @bubbs picked up at Company Shop!!!

That's good news about your job @Coxy11. Definitely agree that it's better to be busy. I'm sure you can be excused for eating out on DH's birthday.😊

It's been dry here but the sun is only just managing to peep out. Far better than rain though @Jellybaby

Have a great time @joedenise. I know what you mean about the limits of finding SW friendly foods when eating out. I remember the first Christmas period after I started SW in the October. I'd been positively 😇 but we were up in London for a show between Christmas and New Year and I ordered an omelette and salad. Probably because of getting supplies at that time of year, the salad was nothing more than a few leaves and a tomato. It was a pathetic meal and I really felt deprived. Now I make wise choices if I feel like it or just have what I fancy and move on.

I had plenty of mash left from last night so had some with my breakfast. I'll do that again as it saved a HEB and was very filling. I've got some more for tomorrow.😁

    Today's plan-
B- HEA milk, fried eggs, ham and mash (P,F)
    L- vegetable soup (F,S)
    D- salmon (P), SW chips (F), veg (S)
Syns- I had 3.5 syns of DH's chocolate last night, might finish the bar tonight.🤔
