We sell puzzles at our Library Sales (monthly). We have one member who like to do them to check and see that all of the pieces are there.9

I bought a charity shop jigsaw last Christmas and it was so frustrating. The edge pieces were incomplete so it had to be repurposed as a cat toy (she enjoyed batting the pieces off the table) and then thrown away when the festive period was over. It quite put me off buying another one although I would love to do puzzles again.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!9 -

@SandyShores @Rosa_Damascena excellent dress hunting!
I too have been blessed by the dress queen. today I went to my most expensive local charity shop only to discover a HALF PRICE SALE. I was so happy! Purchases:
- A Sandro top. £4.50 after discount £4.50, for Sandro! OBVIOUSLY it is way too small for me, being made by a French fashion house for tiny French fashion types, to it will go on Vinted.
- A dress from Kin, also £4.50. Pale and dark blue, midi length, very relaxed fit.
- A pair of 3/4 length wide legged trousers from Phase Eight. Smart, but not too 'office'-like and useful to have. £5.
- A gorgeous cream top from Oliver Bonas with buttons all the way down the back. Cream with thin blue stripes, lovely heavy material, will be perfect for autumn. £4.50.
A pottery tea light holder and saucer for £2.
A very satisfied Magpie.

I find I don't do well round here for charity bargains. But in the week I got a Manteray sun dress for £5 nwt as spare button was still tagged. This morning I got a new M&S swimsuit for my daughter still with plastic liner & one tag, £8, a new F&F jumper £4 was £17.50 and a Bon Marche floral anorak for next week holiday. The "clothing warehouse" allegedly supports charities but I have my doubts. They have many clothing bank bins in the yard. Sad seeing a family going through the shoe pile for school shoes. I now understand their labeling method as they were reducing goods placed for sale in July.9

Bargains been a bit thin on the ground lately…..got a Hobbs jersey skirt from Otley @ 99p but it wasn’t very flattering so sold it on Vinted for £6😊. Today at the Thirsk car boot got a Laura Ashley dress for £1, some M & S smelly soaps for £1 and 2 dress cover thingies for 50p.

Ohhh I like that Laura Ashley dress @Miro!No clothing bargains for me, but I did get a couple of lovely large pottery houseplant pots (£1 each) in shades of cream, pink and purple which will suit the sitting room, and another in a turquoisey-green which will go well in the en-suite with a spider plant in it. I picked up a whole load of lovely houseplants gratis from Freecycle this week including money trees and spider plants, so this will display them nicely. I also bought a large rodent-proof bird seed storage bin which is large enough to hold a whole sack of seed for £3 (they’re about £30 new) so am very pleased with that - I don’t think I have any mice in the garage but you can never be sure out here in the countryside!I did also see a very lovely industrial looking shelf made of black metal rods with hooks beneath which would look great in my newly-rebuilt porch, but I thought it might be too wide to fit behind the porch door without catching, so I left it. I can’t stop thinking about it though so am going to measure the space and possibly pop back first thing on Monday morning (they are shut tomorrow) to see if it’s still there.10
