@Rosa_Damascena good question! Label says 'Made in Morocco'. I picked it up originally because I thought it was pure cotton, which it is. Chat GPT says:
'Hartford clothing is primarily made in Portugal and Morocco, with some production also taking place in Italy, France, and China. The brand is known for using high-quality European fabrics, including French linen and cottons from Albini in Italy.'

O/T… soz no bargains to report but the Daphne is now inviting other mummy ducks to her creche in the garden! Two young sleek mummies seem to have combined broods and we now have chicks of all ages and sizes. They were all trying to swim in the small water dish….so funny! Now off to arrange a bigger swimming facility for them….🤗

That is so adorable! They definitely need a bigger pool.
I was in central Leigh again today for appointments and I bought two books from a charity shop for £2.60. I did see a few sales in other shops for 50p a book, but there wasn't anything I wanted.8 -
The very large pot saucers work nicely as a paddling pool for the birds in my garden. Granted I've not got ducklings.....

No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.6 -
You might just want to set up a paddling pool at this rate @Miró
How incredibly sweet though and you obviously make them feel safe and content and what a sweet thing to sit and watch in your own garden.
No charity shopping here today but I have been having a clear out and listed a few things on Vinted to make some pennies up and sold a board game this morning so that's a bonus. DD15 has also listed a few bits on Vinted as well to try and make herself some pennies as well.Time to find me again8 -
I think, (I know!), I went a bit berserk on the dress front at the car boot-sales today! I blame the sunny weather. From L to R, F & F navy and white £2, navy and red Boden £2, Blue Coast BNWT, £3, Pink spotty M & S £5, Navy & White M & S £3. The.Boden is too young for me and the F & F is like a tent so off to the Vinted graveyard they go!😛. Very pleased with the other three tho!

I've had a lovely weekend and found myself in Swiss Cottage yesterday. I bought 4 books at £1 each (one of which I have already read but remains relevant), which is about my threshold;I must get back to Barnados to buy the BN books I had to abandon on Tuesday. No man is worth crawling on this earth.

Rosa Could you tell me if the Sarah Helm book is any good please (obviously once youve read it?) I am fascinated by the second world war and particularly the holocaust as I have family members who were lost to concentration camps and who were POW.
It looks like a book I would find interesting.Time to find me again8 -
@Rosa_Damascena - I am very interested in the Sarah Helm book too! A person (long deceased now) in my family tree had told people she was in the SOE, arrested in France and interrogated at 84 Avenue Foch in Paris (the headquarters of the counter intelligence branch of the SS) then sent off to Ravensbrueck. However I can find nothing to corroborate this. There is an academic project at one of the Universities in Germany, and they are transcribing whatever records are still available, the website is interesting - https://www.ravensbrueck-sbg.de/en/history/1939-1945/7
