@Miró - difficult question there, in your shoes I'd be very reluctant to lose any of the edges behind a mount so I'm not sure what to suggest. Can you have a mount that goes behind the painting rather than in front, is that a "thing"?
I'm very impressed by your dahl, looks exactly like the one I had in the restaurant. I can't find an emoji for a round of applause on this site so you'll just have to imagine the circle on their feet stamping and cheering.
The dress looks as though it will be nice for the warmer weather which finally seems to be arriving here, hope it is in your neck of the woods too.
Meanwhile I bought this Gary Rhodes cookbook , £2, largely because it had a recipe for crispy lemon camembert in it which looks delicious and then I snapped up this Eddie Izzard dvd , 50p, because I'm sure it'll make me laugh.
Then yesterday I plucked up the courage to get back on my bike again and cycled to the posh suburb in the north of our city where I found all these in Oxfam.
So I finally have a pot big enough for the dahl so that's on the menu for later in the week here. Then the cup I'd been searching for to replace one I broke, I did try asking if they wanted to keep the saucer in the shop but they weren't keen, 3 cds, muffin cups, a jar key, the black thing is a jar scraper and sock organisers for my underwear drawer. That all came to £26 and I'm thrilled to have found so many things that had been on my wish list.

I think I will have to move. After a couple of lovely bargains on my short break away I ventured into my local charity shops. A very ordinary armchair £275 and a recliner for £475😱. That has to be an April fool surely.

Not quite charity shop but son with place of his own has containers for plants he has no interest in & wants the space for a tool shed, so I’m getting three big planters for Mother’s Day & his mates at work are getting the rest! Meanwhile the currant bush in the front garden has managed to crack its pot so one new planter has a place & an occupant sorted.4

Please report in when you have made the dahl, would love to hear how you get on with it. By the way, has anyone tried this Dubai Chocolate that seems to be the rage now? Doesn’t seem to have arrived in Waitrose yet here in Yorkshire….they probably think we are too tight to pay £12 for a bar of chocolate 🍫. I understand you can make your own tho….(videos on YouTube).4 -

@goldfinches - I have the same Eurythmics and Squeeze CDs. Love them both, particularly SqueezeNo man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.5 -
My schoolfriend's uncle was in Squeeze.
I found quite a few nice bits in St Vincent's this morning. Two long summer dresses, a short summer dress and a Next skirt for me and a red t-shirt and a navy jumper for my husband.

@Miró well done, that dahl looks delicious! Glad I could inspire you! I know it's a fair amount of work, but I find it a soothing dish to make.
I've had a busy week, but not in the charity shops, sadly. Resorted to buying two things from vintnted today and selling a few things, too, to get my fix. I will treat myself to a wander in my local shops later this week. Lovely to see everyone's finds. :-)6 -
Actually managed to find a nice pair of cargo trousers £4 and a small handbag (new) half price £2,505
