Slept better last night, though woke up twice! Usual routines done before breakfast.
A good day at work. A pupil I'd helped daily for 4 years popped in with some baking. Was so good to see him, & he allowed me to give him a hug, even though he's now taller than me 🥰 I'd been thinking of him just the other day too!
Went for a walk with work bestie after work, so nearly reached 10K steps again today 😊
Took DS1 to town, ready to catch the overnight boat to Aberdeen with his GF. They're off to Edinburgh too. Picked up my sewing machine from the repair man, & dropped my other one off.
Grateful for seeing my ex-pupil, going for a walk after school, getting my sewing machine back, ready for all the things I need to collect on Saturday for repairing.
Got the drs at 8am tomorrow, so need to be on the ball first thing!Use it up, wear it out

Good evening 🌖
Thanks everyone for your support and well wishes around work. My meeting today went as well as it could have gone! I'm being supported back into the role I wanted, and they've agreed to the notice period. I start 01-04 in my new job. I'm still in shock a bit but am very happy! Bought myself a few nice goodies to munch on to celebrate and have a little bottle of wine too!!!
Fridge and freezer looking more sparse so should be able to do the big defrost at weekend.
Today I am grateful for:
1) A good outcome at work
2) Support from friends and family
3) Time to reflect and release, clearing the way for something new⭐Today = spend day
NSD total = 8Have a lovely night x

So pleased for you @abundant1972 🎉 get well soon @f0xh0les.
Not the best start to the day 😓 the doctor I saw diagnosed me with possible angina. She made a couple of un-tactful comments, like 'youll have to carry the spray round in a bag, like an old lady' & 'better to give you the tablets & stop them, rather than not give you them & you go home & have a heart attack!' A few people I've told have said that I should complain.
Had taken my breakfast to work, so ate that. The HT noticed I was upset, so we had a chat in her office. She was very supportive, as were my friends at work. Luckily everything went fine with my pupils, as might not have coped with that on top of everything else! Stopped on the way home to collect a pair of earrings. One of my pupils gave me a gift voucher for Christmas. Decided to use some of my birthday money to buy a pair I liked, rather than go for the cheapest, that I wasn't that keen on!
Sorted out clean washing, then had a 10 mins nap. Phoned my brother to get checked out too, as he's had pains/twinges too. He promised he would. Did the ironing after tea, then had a long soak in the bath.
So grateful for my friends & husband, that my pupils had a good day, good timing with my earrings to make me smile, messages to check up on meUse it up, wear it out

Yesterday I did a little tidying - 2 small bags from inside and 2 of thee 3 bin bags that are outside (threw them out when I couldn't go past the doorstep. I moved a number of pieces of old kitchen to outside the gate (3 trips and 2 or 3 times during the day). Lots of cardboard went out.
I did a Swedish store shop - gubbins for inside the drawers (pegboards for the plates and pans, bamboo containers for cutlery and utensils with inserts for spice jars and knives). Those should come Saturday. One pair of gloves and one pack of sealant arrived. Beloved and DS3 have done the seal around the bath so this morning I was able to sit on my bath board, have a proper shower and wash my hair. I'm still working on using up my tins but have added a couple of tins of peaches and did a small order today which include 3 rm (2 pasta, one sausage and mash). I started using the yoghurts I ordered earlier in the week, stuffed with as many porridge oats as possible,
Today has been a bit of a let down, I kept falling asleep. I even dozed off sitting on the couch in the middle of getting up - one of the cube shelves digging into my knee woke me up. I haven't pushed too far but more tidying has been done, particularly ripping up lesser cardboard boxes and I've ferried quite a lot of bowls and empty cans into the kitchen and started washing up (I'm not getting any water from the hot tap but then I had to 'rewash' my first wash load of clothes as they came out dry - fixed by turning one of the little pipe taps). I was hoping to do so much more but hopefully a 'resting' day means I can get loads done tomorrow.
I have changed 2 appointments. These were causing me anxiety as I couldn't find the paperwork - or any relevant paperwork. I found the phone number for sleep clinic online but had to phone my doctor's to ask for my NHS number. I have it written in several places and numerous letters but they're all hiding (in the safe place I put them all). I can't find my old diary and the new one hasn't been started (planned to transfer things across to the new diary and address book once the builders started work).
Everyone I've contacted has been very sympathetic (mostly they recognise that if I leave the house I will fall and may end up hospitalised and waste a lot of NHS resources). One appointment has been postponed, one changed to a telephone appointment and will resend the paperwork and the last one's switched to 'I'll collect the relevant test forms when I can'. I want to go out soon as I have library books that can go back and cs donations but I feel very wobbly and have gone dizzy twice today (once was going to the door for DS3's delivery so made him help me back to the couch).
Grateful for NHS staff, libraries and the internet (lots of mindless stuff as I'm having problems concentrating). Grateful for clean hair and feeling clean altogether and for getting things done in tiny stages.8 -
Sorry to hear that @Thrifty_Taylor, about the potential angina & the doctors very poor bedside manner. Certainly justifying a complaint in my book. Take care. Hope you are ok @Thrifty_Taylor and that the doctor has referred you for tests for a definitive diagnosis and a proper treatment plan, as well as making unhelpful comments, which may have been their misguided attempt at humour / empathy.Still on NSD # 6 as I had to buy Vit D tablets yesterday. I have now finished the very high dose stuff prescribed by the doctor. She recommended I move on to OTC high dose tablets after, so I got some from b00ts. I am still sometimes getting the leg pain that I initially went to the doctor about, but it is far less painful, and less frequent than before. I will see what happens as I move on to the OTC tablets and if need be go back to the doctor. I have a chronic blood condition which seems to cause odd symptoms sometimes that make the docs scratch their heads. I have had it for years though, and mostly it doesn't cause any problems apart from lots of blood tests.Anyway, worked in the shop yesterday and it was cold. However, we had quite a lot of people in so the time passed fairly quickly.
