Time to get serious! For Lent I have given up making excuses. I'm realising I always have an excuse, and the result over the last two weeks of stress eating - excuse? work is very very stressful - i am 1.5 pounds further away from this quarter's target than I was 2 weeks ago. I can do this. So also for Lent I'm giving up all those things I overdue when stressed - no biscuits, no chocolate, no cake, no wine, no sweets, no crisps. 2 days in (and work getting more stressful by the day, mismanagement from above, colleagues on strike against compulsory redundancies) - instead I've gone for a run with a colleague, gone for walks with others and eaten fruit. Hoping I get back to smileys on @brambley's chart Monday.MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Well, I'm going to have to return to calorie counting. I'm now 1.5lbs heavier than I was at the start of the year 🙄 heaviest I've been for a long time and I feel awful in myself!
I thought I had done ok this week tbh - eating following my plan and managing over 10,000 steps most days. I did have a snack attack night on Wed with wine, cheese and biscuits, but my daily calorie expenditure (Fitbit says!) has been ok so thought I'd get away with it.
Going to have to do some research into a sustainable/not super expensive way to eat. I'm getting to menopause zone and I know it's just going to get harder to keep the lbs off and keep fit. Must keep plodding on!8 -
I also have to reluctantly say +1.5 lb today.
I am not sure why really. At least spring is here so more inclined to do salad dishes. I am going to refer back to my Michael Mosely recipes.

Hello everybody, I have lost a little bit these last 2 weeks but I'm still way over my start weight so they cannot be included.
At least I have started losing again though.6 -
Half a pound on since last WI a couple of weeks ago. Not too bad considering we went away for a few days and I've partaken of a couple of luncheons and met a friend on Tuesday for 🍕 😋
3 lb to target & 3 WIs to achieve it 🤞"I started out with nothing
And still got most of it left"

to continue with the calorie record
1854 cals - Total for 7 March (no wine)
2121 cals - Total for 6 March (yet another glass of red wine - and 110g chocolates!)
1349 cals - Total for 5 March (despite another glass of red wine!)
2021 cals - Total for 4 March (out this evening at a friend's - red wine, pizza and coffee & walnut cake)
1644 cals - Total for 3 March
1520 cals - Total for 2 March
1445 cals - Total for 1 March
average: 1564 cals/day
(I'm sure I posted an update this morning (to include 6 March) but the post disappeared. Something similar occurred earlier too. I am puzzled.)4 -
I have to report a STS - so I'm still where I was at the start of the quarter.
To continue with the calorie record
2512 cals - Total for 8 March (don't ask!!!! - but Taste the Difference cake and cheesecake involved)
1445 cals - Total for 1 March
average: 1808 cals/day
I'll stop the daily calorie reports now - as the post would get too long - but may hold myself to account by occasionally posting "daily average to date" (for March).5 -
Morning all xx
Monday morning weigh in revealed - 1 lb.
It was much easier to keep my focus when I had DS's wedding day as an incentive.
I've even found myself considering holding a 65th birthday party in September to provide a new focus. I always said I'd have a 60th birthday party but covid scuppered that one. I'll have a think....
