Feeling more motivated this week with the sun out! I'm not going to count calories, but I am trying to eat sensibly. I seem to spend my whole life calorie counting and I just need a break and to learn sensible portions. If only it was that easy lol!!
Protein shake and fruit for breakfast. Homemade spicy veg and lentil soup with a roll for lunch, and a defosted healthyish batchcooked meal in the eve.
It's feeling lonely when I'm away from my partner, and boredom snacking and drinking that's my downfall, especially with the cold weather making me feel misreable. I work from home and often get bored! I meal plan and buy food (delivery) with the best intentions to make healthy meals. I have been going through a phase of just wanting picky food in the eves, like fresh baguette and cheese or houmous, and crisps. Or cheese and biscuits.
Off for a walk now, and I am going out this eve so will see people.5 -
2 Off please Brambling.
Still struggling with water retention, I swear a pod of dolphins is blowing bubbles and spinning about inside me, fingers crossed the consultant will sort this for me. I've cut down on bread by about 95%, this should help the water situation and my knees, hips and ankles since I was told to eat it, (have found a substitute) have been very painful.
Had a beach walk Sat and Sun, Saturday was a lovely sunny day, even unzipped the big coat, did however, due to the winter storms altering the beach ended up with 2 soggy socks, had a good old mumble, grumble back at the car.
I'm trying to watch my portion sizes and steering Mr JPS away from the supermarket that sell a cream cake that he likes. Getting back on the scales has certainly helped.
Have a good week everyone.MFW - 01.10.21 £63761 01.10.22 £50962 01.10.23 £39979 01.10.24 £27815. 01.01.25. £17538

I came across something called the Human Body Diet where (as always) the person who had followed this had lost weight quickly and steadily to the point where they were needing to ensure they didn't lose too much. As always it's sounds much too good to be true. And to their credit they did say it was difficult to start off and the sacrifices they were making were pretty major.
Anyhoo - has anyone tried this and had any success? Or is it just another plug for selling diet books that will soon be shuffled off to the charity shop for resale?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. The only one I've followed, lost and kept off the 3 stone I put on when stopping smoking and never been that size again was pig to twig, it's a bit like Atkins. The only thing I did a little on different was not stay on it for too long. I would start on a Monday, get to Saturday of that week and have a chicken kebab (minus the pita) in the evening with a couple of no caffeine alcohol drinks (vodka & slimline something) and go back on it until the Friday of the next week. I'd lose 10lb in this time if I was good and stuck to it. Most people would find it hard as you are not allowed tea or coffee, Mr JSP would BBQ about 3 times a week for me which helped.MFW - 01.10.21 £63761 01.10.22 £50962 01.10.23 £39979 01.10.24 £27815. 01.01.25. £17538

The only failsafe way to lose weight is to burn off more calories than you consume (aka calorie deficit), do that and we lose weight.
Sounds easy I know!3
