I remembered to weigh myself yesterday, I just forgot to post it. Another 1 lb off for me please Brambling.
@Pauper1 the act of chewing is a form of self soothing. Are you just grabbing snacky stuff because you're tired which then means you're hungry really soon afterwards? That was something that I used to do a lot. I'm still more of a grazer but I mostly have things for snacks that I know won't ruin my weight loss. Maybe make a list of things that you can make quickly that will fill you up.
I needed to lose weight for an operation which was a great incentive so I did a bit of research into why I was eating when I wasn't hungry and the self soothing thing kept popping up. I tried holding a pen or my knitting cable needle in my teeth instead of eating and I got my operation. I also read a lot that it only takes 6 weeks to change a habit. Not when it comes to food or at least not in my case.....it's taken a couple of years.
I've also noticed while talking with my friends how harshly we judge ourselves. The words "cheat", "fail", "bad" pop up a lot in conversation. Honestly, the things that I used to say to myself were things that I would never dream of saying to anyone else. Be kinder to yourself peeps.
I have to go and take ds to uni now....take care all of you 😊

Hi
Brambling - I lost 2.5 lbs but you've only recorded a loss of 1.5 lbs. Would you adjust the chart please?

well, I gained 2Ibs this week!
TBH Im relieved its 'only' 2I had a couple of days of mad snacking where I felt compelled to empty my kitchen of food.
Also I started taking creatine last week and apparently the average person will put on 2Ibs of water weight so weight gain was expected. Hoping it makes my weight training more effective (bigger muscles=better metabolism=more food!LOL).4 -
NSV today - I went to visit my dad's cousin today. I haven't seen her since just after Christmas because she's been ill and she noticed that I've lost weight.3

Another here who weighed and forgot to post! A little lost, but not enough in kilos so STS please Brambling. I like to measure in kilos even though the losses are slower, as I find them much less triggering than pounds. I think I need to up my exercise as the meds I’m on have been increased and they’re known to cause weight gain.5

Thanks for the WIs guys 👏 I hope you all had a good weekend
Cranky it's always good when others notice, it can be quite depressing when you've worked hard and no one does!I hope everyone has a good weekLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin7 -
Morning all xx
Monday morning weigh in revealed +4.5 lbs. Hangs head in shame.
It was expected. I cannot tell a lie. A colleague gave me a packet of biscuits which I shared with other colleagues, but it gave me the taste for biscuits. Lots of biscuits. And nuts. Lots of nuts. Not that I think there are any nuts in gingernut biscuits! It must have been subliminal 🤔
Anyhoo. I've gorged like a gannet. My gut is not happy at all - query wheat intolerance? And I never want to see another biscuit again. Ever.
Blips are allowed. Back to what works for me. Calorie counting.
And breathe ....

Morning everyone, it's lovely and sunny here today and it makes me feel so much better even though it's still quite chilly. I stuck to my meal plan below and lost another -1lb so that's good. I made homemade pizza for my grandson on Saturday and I resisted although he said it was really nice. I'm going to have to make it again this week and fit it into my meal plan as it really did look lovely!
Good luck everyone, hope you have a good week

Just scraping a 1 lb loss which gets me back to my Q1 starting position.
Food intake is somewhat erratic at the moment and likely to stay that way for the week. (Stably erratic - is that possible?!)5 -
