Tomorrow I will Do The Deed.

Low spend day today -entirely my fault as I forgot to order crisps in my grocery shop and there has been chuntering from the yoofs. However it has meant the lonesome Prawn Cocktail bags have been eaten and evicted from the crisp box (I must remember to forget again!)

Day off tomorrow and I shall be side hustling before home gym and some.cleaning. aiming for a NSD as we hurtle to pay day. Annoyingly my travel expenses for one of my jobs only got approved today so won't be in this month's pay so along with no weekends in March pay it's going to be a smaller than usual pay day. April is going to have to be Strictly on Budget.

well done on clearing the 2 cards. I've just done the reverse and set up a credit card stooze. It's already freaking me out and I just want the credit card balance back to zero again. I have to reassure myself by looking at the balance in my "stoozing pot" and watching the interest get added every month. I definitely won't be a serial stoozer but at least I've tried it. My risk tolerance is clearly very low and I won't be putting the lot on red 7 in a Vegas casino anytime soon 🙀

Logically I know this makes sense and it's kinda what I've been doing, just gently earning interest whilst letting the 0% balance tick down and it's what we had agreed to use the money for ...... letting go was hard though 😂

"Climb every moutain" Sound of Music

On I plod desperately trying to save as much as possible although this does appear to have biten me on the proverbial.

I clung onto 2 investments I had from.donkey years ago when I started the diary and this time of year you get the annual statement telling you how they've done. One of them pays tax at source (super - i dont have to worry about it) but one of them doesn't and blow me the one that doesn't has had a pretty good year and earnt a fair amount of interest. Marvellous! except because of all the money wrangling this year I don't have enough isa allowance left to "wrap" it and now I think I will.need to do a self assessment as it's marginally pushed me over the personal allowance thingy. It blows my mind how I've gone from feeling/being skint to having to pay tax on savings and therefore feeling skint again 😂 As my sister wryly stated "1st world problem Lzzy".

In other news work have agreed to increase fuel allowance in light of the ongoing fuel price increases (they lowered it in Jan) but diesal is hitting 187.99 round here which inevitably is going to hurt ...... that is if you can find any. Which is starting to become a problem. I'm old.enough to remember the great petrol shortage in 2000 and I'm struggling to get rid of our old friend Anxiety about it all.

Did send another mortgage overpayment at the weekend - I sold something on V&nted so rounded it up to a fiver. I've sold a kids jumper today too so will do the same when that comes in. Little steps up the mountain!
