Yes yes it is! I do quite a bit of thinking/overthinking whilst driving around and however low I sometimes feel, I have definitely feel more in charge of my debt. 🤣 LBM definitely means different things to different people - took me a few weeks of reading here before I realised here it meant light bulb moment and not loose bowel movement 🤣🤣

It's been a difficult few days as I've been trying to be mediator in an ongoing family disagreement and quite frankly ive been highly unsuccessful and as the messenger have certainly been "shot" a fair few times.
Anyway 2 NSD days in Sept so far although yesterday was just a disaster. Last essential for school (forgot a pe bag) and some new to me work shoes for 20 quid. Given the torrential rain today I was very glad of the shoes and they are a well known brand with yellow stitching so should last a good few years. Today's spending was petrol so essential really but in budget for the month.
Today felt very Autumnal and I had a hankering for soup so made some homemade tonight for lunch tomorrow. Normally I make soup and it's underwhelming but fingers crossed is edible.

I was pondering soup this week too, must be the change in weather, and thinking about how it's probably the one thing that is better bought than home made (by me). I've made the occasional fabulous soup (a vegan corn chowder springs to mind), but never consistently. I'm happy to pay for it.

Well the soup was edible but not great 😅 room for improvement definitely. But the shoes are good and definitely dont leak so dry feet forecast for this winter.
Possible news afoot this week but still not counting my chickens and all that. Working again this weekend as extra so in bed early here and no partying this weekend. Roll on the DF days when I won't feel that I can't afford to turn down extra shifts as I have been doing loads more than I usually would which is ok in the short term but not sustainable long term really.

Lay Down - Strawbs
Tonight I thought I'd go for a bit of Prog Rock with this belter from circa 1972/3 - bit before my time but one of dad's favourites. Chosen as I am Utterly Exhausted and I can't wait for my bed 😂.
Another weekend in the bag 💪 although I suspect I will be cursing myself over the next few months as I had blanked out how busy and stressful they can be in the winter months. Still a NSD today and DH cooked a very nice dinner for us all for when I got home.
life is looking ridiculously busy this month, complicated also by the fact dh is going to be away for the next 3 - 4 weeks with work so it'll be me and the yoofs pulling together and manning the fort at home. Can't complain too much as dh gets a jolly nice bonus for the inconvenience but has meant my brain is going into overdrive. I've dug out an old Organise Your Life type journal that has a few months left in it to help me feel more in control. (Think I originally bought this in 2018 looking at the dates at beginning of it - well you didn't think I'd spent money on a new one did you!!)
I did hear some slightly concerning news today about Dparent which needs some looking into. It's very tricky being the so called Sandwich generation balancing kids, parents, work and now debt busting. If I make retirement it could be a miracle 😂

Just marking here that my current debt stands at £33,015.93.
Things are rumbling on and this could be a significant week for me and DH but I need to know for myself reading back that I was turning things round, that I had changed and was doing this regardless of anything else going on.
